Quick question for people who sent their passport for COPR through VAC/VFS... you get a receipt with a tracking number. Does the status change when it's back en route to your country? :) Right now mine says

"Visa application, tracking ID No.__________________ is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, Mexico City. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website."

Just wondering if in your experience it gets updated? I'm so excited and hopeful to buy my husband's ticket! Thanks

Anyone else who is getting processed in Mississauga have this situation?

My timeline so far...

App sent: 03/25/2018

App received: 04/08/2018

AOR1: 05/08/2018

my application continues in mississauga, no news yet

We just got COPR confirmation. Good luck and well wishes to everybody!

Received confirmation via e-mail, but not the actual COPR paper itself. It just confirms it's been affixed to passport, so he's just waiting to get passport back. GCKey was updated yesterday to approved, prior to getting the letter. ECAS hasn't updated yet.

The Visa processing centre that mailed it for us from Nicaragua to Mexico City has a tracking feature - it still shows as being processed by Mexico City - it doesn't yet show as being sent back. But he's anticipating receiving it on Friday of this week or next Monday. which would be like 10 business days since we sent it.

Good luck all!

QQ: I got PA and DM on September 26 and haven’t received PPR yet. VO is NDVO. Can anyone please let me know how long does it take to get PPR after DM?

I'm in the same boat, DM since October 5th and no PPR email yet. I called the call center yesterday (I know they can't tell you anything about outland processing, but I thought maybe they could tell me if I had a message/letter in GCkey that I couldn't see since that happened to us before), and the general info the agent said he could share is that it really depends on the visa office's procedures and it's not unusual for there to be weeks between a DM status change and correspondence. He suggested to contact them via webform, but said getting a response can take some time and we might just receive an email in the meantime.

Hang in there! I feel positive because I know that it won't be a rejection unless we've been given an opportunity to respond to the VO's concerns, either in an interview or getting a "procedural fairness" letter.

Yeah, I want to encourage everybody. In our case, we got an interview - the lady was nice, we had the opportunity to explain our situation and answer any questions. In my case, I travelled to be there with my husband (I was fortunate to be able to) - and they ended up interviewing me too :)

Good luck!
