I have noticed a phenomenon getting quite common that everything gets completed on the tracker, and the same steps remain in processing on the GC Key account. After this, it appears to go into an indefinite delay at the IRCC end.

Does anyone else notice this as well?

Maybe the bg check is just formally not closed.
I would say that the application process does not end until you land in Canada and your PR status is confirmed by the border official's stamp.
But these are just assumptions. And to be honest, at the moment i'm holding my COPR document in my hands, I dont really care anymore. Away from that I agree with you. I've seen this before. The question is: Does it matter anyway?

True that. I agree that until you land and get through Immigration, it's a lot of ifs and buts.

I applied in December. So far I've only received the AOR and BIL (late December), its been more than three months since the last update. MIL and Eligibility are not started and background check in progress.

Abu Dhabi VO, they're extremely slow

Nope, last update was December before my file got transferred to Abu Dhabi, I don't know what they're doing there but they're clearly not working on our applications. For the past five months its been radio silence, I haven't received the medical exam request nor has the PA eligibility started

when was your file moved to Abu Dhabi and how long did it take them to send you BIL and Medical, has your PA eligibility started?

Our application was transferred to AD towards the end of December and we haven't gotten any updates, even our webforms were ignored

Congrats, can you share how long is the validity of your visa? I mean, how long do you have to Land in Canada, back in the day it used to be 90 days. Just wondering how long is it now
