TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

Thanks for posting. I think I'll pass on withdrawing and submitting again. I am just gonna wait and call the cic and try to speak to an agent before i make any decision. Also, Please let me know if you have any updates on your application.

Congratulations man, I think you are totally right about the background check being applied although it says not applicable; however 2 weeks back when I called them the agent never said anything about that, she just said you should hear something soon, but this hasn't yet happened!

I think try calling them again cuz it has been long time. Try call exactly at 8am or 4pm might help.

So I called about 10 times and the 11th time I got connected to an agent after 40 min.
The agent said -"wait for another month to call again" She is not sure what exactly is being reviewed but the application is under review by an officer. Wait for ONE MONTH.
All responses are vague for my application.
Let me know if someone else gets connected and if you get any detail on the application.

Applied for TRV within Canada on October 6th.

Before that applied for a wrong type of visa with 5707 Form and had to withdraw the application.

Right. Agree, If you filled a wrong form and applied again with IMM527 form, you should receive your visa soon.

I have filed it on Sep 12 and still waiting. I got my flight tickets reserved for Dec 8 and I'm too worried if CIC couldn't make it till then :'(

I applied on Sep 10 and my eligibility start a week later. Since then, no response from CIC, no passport request. Have your eligibility started yet?

I need to apply for a TRV inside Canada. I used the following link to determine my eligibility and get the reference code in order to appply online (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/come-canada-tool.html) but it gives me the application package that applies to somebody outside Canada. How come? At the questions they ask I specified that my country of residence is Canada.

Can you please help me?

1) I believe yes, it's always important to proof financial capacity especially for the visa, 2) I think this is normal to have a form that says trv from outside canada it happened to all of us just make sure the form is imm5257e, we all think it's the right form, good luck..
