Hi, my spouse sponsorship application got rejected today and I was sent my file back
Has anyone been through similar situation as me where they say I didn’t provide a document when in fact i did provide it. Is it possible that CIC misplace documents? Please help...

Hi

Your app was not denied. It was returned as incomplete. Completely different.

Yes, it has happened before that IRCC returned an app for a missing document that was actually included. You need to resubmit the app. Check if any forms have been updated since you sent the app, as they would need to be redone.

They provided a letter why it was rejected; missing documents (that I DID provide to them). I am so disappointed because of the wait. My entire file was complete and there were no errors on my end yet it got returned due to missing documents that were included. Now I will resubmit with updated forms as well as the document that they misplaced. Is there any way to get in contact with this issue? Does IRCC acknowledge any misplaced documents from their end? Thanks!

They're not going to do anything about it if it was their mistake (like speed up your processing), if that's what you're asking. You need to resubmit and wait like everyone else (as unfair as it may seem)
