I think labour card wont pull out your information from Police Division like the emirates ID. So they would still probably be asking you for fingerprint. You can try though and see their response.

Hello Guys,

I would like to share my personal experience in getting police certificate for UAE. I never expected that the process is so simple and it costs 320 AED only. You should have your Emirates ID # with you which you held when you were a resident there ( doesn´t matter if it has expired)

1. Go to Dubai Police Website www.dubaipolice.gov.ae
2. Go to Services -> More
3. Click On Police Clearance Certificate
4. Click Access Service
5. Select 'Outside UAE' in 'I am located?' section
6. Fill out all other information and in "Do you have Emirates ID" section, select "Yes" and then input your
Emirates ID which you used to hold while you were a resident there.
7. Upload your Passport, Photo and Residency Page Copy
8. Click Next
9. Enter your Address (Can be your current address in any country)
10. Enter Payment details. Card being used should be a GCC card.

Thats it. One the payment is submitted, you will get certificate in your email in 1-2 days. They cross-check your information using Emirates ID number.

I hope it helps.

Thanks
Faheem
Hi Faheem,

I need the PCC for a new work visa in South Africa. Under the online application process you described, is there an option to choose so that Dubai Police sends the original of the certificate via courier service to me? If so how would that work? Thanks, Michael

Yes I understand this, but what if I need a stamped original - which is what I got when applying in Dubai 2 years ago and collected myself at Police HQ?

Hi! I was in Al Ain, UAE for 1 yr 6 months and got police certificate before I left the country to come here in Canada so obviously, it’s expired. I need a new PCC to apply for my permanent residence here in Canada. Should I just send my old certificate to renew or I still need fingerprints to authenticated by Canada foreign affairs and UAE embassy?

If you have the EmiratesID number and copy of your uae visa and passport, you can apply online either on the Dubai Police website or the MOI website. You do not need a finger print if you have the Emirates ID

Thanks for your help. I was asked to send the notarized fingerprint to Global affairs Canada for Authentication then they will forward it directly to UAE Embassy in Ottawa. I had to include 2 prepaid Xpresspost for that including the return.
I also finally got in touch with someone in UAE Embassy Ottawa, extension is 224/226 if you dont know this extension you wont be able to reach anyone even if you try thousand times calling their number.
My problem now is the extension given to me by IRCC is till 27th Sept. Hopefully i can still asked for extension with no issue as it is impossible based on the timeline provided by both agencies not to mention i had to courier it to Dubai Police once back.

I am not aware if they do that any longer, you may need to check it out by reaching out to them.
Hi Faheem, I tried the online process in the meantime, but failed. I do not have a GCC or Canadian credit card, and all other ones I have did not work (various countries). So I am stuck with this now. I get an automated reply saying: The order is rejected by Fraud Module. (20018).

Did you try and make a payment through a credit say of your parents or friends to see if that will work ?

Not yet, but considering. Will the payment system dubai police is using not figure out if the applicant name does not match the name registered with the credit card? the system definitively knows how to figure out where the card is issued...

No harm in trying since you have no alternate available
