Hello Guys,

I would like to share my personal experience in getting police certificate for UAE. I never expected that the process is so simple and it costs 320 AED only. You should have your Emirates ID # with you which you held when you were a resident there ( doesn´t matter if it has expired)

1. Go to Dubai Police Website www.dubaipolice.gov.ae
2. Go to Services -> More
3. Click On Police Clearance Certificate
4. Click Access Service
5. Select 'Outside UAE' in 'I am located?' section
6. Fill out all other information and in "Do you have Emirates ID" section, select "Yes" and then input your
Emirates ID which you used to hold while you were a resident there.
7. Upload your Passport, Photo and Residency Page Copy
8. Click Next
9. Enter your Address (Can be your current address in any country)
10. Enter Payment details. Card being used should be a GCC card.

Thats it. One the payment is submitted, you will get certificate in your email in 1-2 days. They cross-check your information using Emirates ID number.

I hope it helps.

Thanks
Faheem
Hi,
I did this but Dubai Police emailed me asking for fingerprint. I think this is because i dont have an emirates ID... at the time i was in the UAE it was not implemented yet. Now i am having a hard time to contact uae embassy or consulate to get more guidance where to send the fingerprint and get it attested. I am currently at Alberta.

Anyone who can help will be appreciated.

Thank you

This is what I had highlighted to you earlier...

You can see this link to follow the process:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/united-arab-emirates.html

If you live outside of the United Arab Emirates: (but have lived in the UAE for more than 6 months)
You may either apply:

  1. In person if you are back in the UAE or ask a representative (a friend, relative or colleague) in the UAE, with a power of attorney, to apply on your behalf at the police department in your emirate (see Special notes and considerations for complete list)
  2. You can apply at the nearest UAE Embassy
  3. By express mail
You or your representative must bring/send:

  • A set of fingerprints certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy in the country where you currently live
  • A copy of your valid passport
  • A copy of your former Emirates ID card
  • A copy of your former residence visa
  • Two (4x6 cm) photographs
  • Applicable fees

I got this info, however the UAE website link is not working. I have been trying to call ottawa office to get detailed info like applicable fees, where and whom to send it etc. But no one is picking up the phone. It is so frustrating to contact them REALLY.
