Passport is expired while spousal suponsership is in process

Why cant you ask the Pakistani embassy to issue you a temporary passport for the purpose of the PR? And during this process you wont travel or use the passport until the PR process is completed.
The reason i suggest this is due to the fact that my embassy wouldn't issue me a new electronic passport, so they issued me a TEMPORARY passport for the duration of my application (for a year) and i had to declare i will not travel at all until this process is completed.

I also have a passport problem. I applied for a new passport yesterday because my old passport was about to expire in less than 6 months. Today my outland spousal sponsorship was approved and they will soon send PPR but I now will have a new passport which I'm picking up coming Friday but they will be expecting me to send in my old passport. Can they still fix it when I inform them I have a new passport on Friday?

I did but i lost my status so without any status im not eligible to renew in canada

Strange, I once had to apply for a new passport while in Canada and went to my home country's consulate, but I don't think they checked my status in Canada when I applied. They should help you out, why would they want you to be abroad without valid papers.

Original & Photocopies of Valid Computerized National Identity Card. (CNIC / NICOP / Smart NICOP) (In case of married women, CNIC / NICOP / Smart NICOP shall have updated marital status).

Original Previous Pakistani Passport and Photocopies of first 4 pages and Observation page (If available).

In case of Government servant, No Objection Certificate (in Original) from their respective Ministries / Divisions / Departments is required.

Any one of the following to prove valid status in Canada (Original & Photocopy):

1. PR-Card
2. Canadian Passport.
3. Study Permit / Multiple Visa / Super Visa / Work Permit

I see, might be different depending on the country. You should be able to get a temporary travel document though.

Writing a letter is pointless. Again, you need to go back to your country and get a passport.

This is not a problem. When you get PPR, just send your new passport with an explanation.

Hello again i heard from many people and today i had an appointment with a good lawyer and it’s concluded that we dont need passport for visitor record.i am on Implied status and i applied for restoration of my status as visitor.
So problem is solved i just need to wait for visitor record whoch is coming within a month hopefully

A person cannot be granted status in Canada without a valid passport. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5551-applying-change-conditions-extend-your-stay-canada.html#5551E2

Note: The validity of your temporary resident status cannot exceed the validity of your passport. Therefore, you should ensure that your passport will be valid for at least the same amount of time as your requested extension.

There is no Implied Status when applying for Restoration. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/restoration-status.html

Contrary to applicants to whom we recognize an implied status, persons awaiting restoration have lost their status and may not continue to work or attend school.

You will not be able to land without a valid passport.
