hello seniors,
I wanted to know about the visitor visa for my parents in India. I want them to visit me in canada. Currently I am on my work permit and my brother is also here and he is permanent resident. The only issue is my dad retired from his job last year. I fear that the chances of rejection is high in this case. What can we do to bring them here for two weeks. They have a travel history, they’ve been to cambodia and Indonesia. They factors that are coming in my mind are:-
1. Social ties(no job-retired)
2. economic ties( again no job, source of money is the savings plus we dont own a house or a car, stating that we come from a middle class family)

Plz help me what can i do to make their file stronger.

1. Does your dad get a pension?

2. If he does, it is the sole/major portion of his retirement income? Or do you/your brother regularly transfer money to your parents?

3. Is he entitled to any other post-retirement benefits? Or maybe is in the process of claiming his gratuity or something similar?

What can we do to bring them here for two weeks.

The key aspect is to prove they will return to India at the end of the 2 weeks. That said, the visa officer will more likely believe they are visiting for at least 3-4 weeks and not for two weeks.

They have a travel history, they’ve been to cambodia and Indonesia.

These countries don't count as travel history.


1. What is the purpose of their visit?

2. Do your parents live with other dependents (your unmarried siblings, your grandparents)?

3. Do they have a lease/rent agreement for the place where they live?

4. Can your parents prove they have adequate financial resources to afford the visit on their own?

5. Do they have any medical or lifestyle condition?

6. Do your parents volunteer for any social, religious or other causes?

7. Does your brother meet the eligibility criteria for a super visa host?

No, he doesn’t

The source of income is the savings he has

As far as i know he got quite good lump sum of retirement money from his workplace.

No just mom n dad

They live in a shared property of family
4. Can your parents prove they have adequate financial resources to afford the visit on their own?
Yes
5. Do they have any medical or lifestyle condition?
No
6. Do your parents volunteer for any social, religious or other causes?
No
7. Does your brother meet the eligibility criteria for a super visa host
We were looking at the income requirements but unfortunately we dont meet the requirements
