Express Entry Work Experience

Hi guys,
I need clarification regarding some issue. According to CRS calculator, I should have 440 points, but after completing my express entry profile I was given 415 points only. It seems to be because the system doesent count my full work experience.
i.e. company 1 : March 1 - June 30 - 4 full months. express entry counts as 3 months March-June
company 2 : 6 oct 2015 - 25 nov 2017 - 2years 2 months, EE counts as 2 years 1 month
company 3 : 1 Jan - 28 feb - 2 full months, EE counts only 2 months apparently
company 4 : 4 march - now(17 July) counts only as 4 months atm.

What should I do? should I just wait? or should I write as if I worked an additional day at each company where a full month isn't being counted?
like March 1 - July 1? will be full 4 months?

WHo had a similar issue?

I have a similar issue. But for me, it adds an extra month and I get more points. Would that be a problem?

If these dates are matching with your reference letters, then you can not do anything about it.

Well it's not about the dates. But since the EE profile asks only for the month but not the date. Considering just the month, the system either takes it as one full month(even if you worked for just 2days in the month say july1st and july2nd..it takes the whole JULY into consideration).

What is your IELTS score? I suspect the loss of 25 points is because of that or some other thing. For most cases I have seen the rounding of months gives a higher score not lower.

It's not about the IELTS score. To be precise my work experience including the actual dates is 2yrs 11months 2weeks. But the since the system just asks for the month it'd exceed 3yrs experience. Btw my IELTS score is CLB9

My IELTS is CLB10, I don't think it is about IELTS.
That sucks and unfair. I do have full 3 years of work experience, and my reference letters are confirming it. but I have to wait another 3 months due to a flawed system... I can potentially miss a draw. I was hoping for a nomination from ontario(my NOC is in the list of human capital priority stream) but I see that they are not inviting anyone with less than 433 points...So I guess I'm out of luck

Check all your answers in the profile, are you sure this is causing you to lose points? What NOC's are these jobs? Have you answered all questions correctly?

it seems to be the issue, I mean the only difference between the CRS form and the MyCIC profile is under CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience, gives me 25(2 years), should be 50(for 3 years)
My NOC is 5241 - Graphic Designers and Illustrators, all 4 jobs are in this NOC.

@everybody so it shouldn't be a problem if the system calculates 3yr even though I just have 2yr 11months 2weeks?

Not a problem as long as you submit your e-APR until after completing 3 years of work experience.

@DelPiero07 I am in a similar situation. because of the system's way of evaluating months and not the exact days, I exceed a little over 3 years and have got the maximum points in that criteria, but according to my reference letters I'll be just shy of 3 years which again depends on when they evaluate my profile. So currently am doing this internship which when completed on Aug 21st I will complete 3 years no matter what.
the question is 1. should I wait for this internship to be over before i submit my PR application ?
2. almost all docs are ready except for my meds which is on Aug 9th. so am currently unable to submit my application till I get the receipt once meds is done. would submitting my profile as soon as I get that done affect my points ?

btw my 90 day deadline is on Sep 12th to submit the application !

I'm not working now. So I'll have the same 2yr 11month 2week experience only. What do I do now?
1- Submit your e-Apr and hope for the best.
2- Reject any ITA that puts you under the cutoff score by counting 2 years of work experience
3- Get a job and get those 2 extra weeks of work needed to claim 3 years of work experience.
