hello dear ... did u get any update regarding your husband from NDVO ?

Hey....Well I got pre-arrival on May 31st BUT on June 14th, they asked me for my husband's job details and also to refill the IMM5469 form...I submitted both documents on June 17th and ever since I haven't heard anything back from them yet.....I did MP inquiry yesterday July 10th and they said that everything else is done except the security check for my husband....do you know how long will it take to finish the security check? It's going to be an year on Aug 4th and I am really pissed

Just wondering, does this MP inquiry is really genuine ? Getting an reply with 24 hrs is sounds like not correct to me...
From last 4-5 months I saw so many people did MP inquiry and they get reply with 24 hrs from CIC and with in that they reply to applicant !!??

On your case, definitely you explain everything to MP office and making that reply "security check for husband" is kids show.

It is genuine...I asked them if they will be contacting NDVO but they said they will contact CIC in Montreal....she said everything else is done in my husband's case except for the security check...they can't give a timeline since every country has it's own way of processing security checks.....All we can do is HOPE...it's frustrating and I am giving up now....but there's nothing really we can do....It's going to be 1 year on August 4th...and standard processing is 12 months so hopefully we'll hear back from them soon...also my husband is a cop in india...not sure if that's the reason for delaying our file :-/

my husband is also in punjab police. we sent them his job details to them in march after that no update. i did MP enquiry they said they r checking his BC
