If you have a lot belongings to bring into Canada, please take the advantage of B4 form. Anything listed on B4 form, either they will be accompany with you when you land or you ship them to Canada, those items are all duty free (Those things need to be yours before the landing). You don't have to ship the goods to follow right the way, as long as they are on the goods to follow list, they can be brought into Canada duty free by anyone at anytime, after your landing. Any valuable jewelry you want to bring into Canada, besides to list them on B4 (Actually Canada has updated and changed the form to BSF186 and BSF186a), you need to take pictures and print them out to include them with your B4 (two copies of each your goods to accompany and goods to follow). When you land, you need to ask immigration officer to stamp those forms, and every time, if you would bring in any items on goods to follow, you need to show the CBSA stamped BSF186 and BSF186a form to claim duty free on them.
Thank you for the detailed information. My wife will be submitting form BSF186. It's just the jewellery that she is bringing and it exceeds the $10K limit.

really? I thought security check takes months....do you mean 1 week or so? please let me know...I am stressing out...

I got mesaage yesterday in my GCKEY account.
The new delhi office emailed me in Jan, the said that they should be ready to communicat with me in May or June! But yesterday the emailed me asked for medical and some other documment that i have done on September 2017! And were accepted by them! In my GCkey account it was : you passed the medical exame, and additional documment was; not applicabe! But suddenly yesterday they asked for it again! By the way, they sent my files to UK Offices idk why?! I was waiting for my passport request cause nothing else were left! I have been applied since 20 july 2017! And its alomst one year! If anyone else have been faced with the same issue or has any idea about this PLEASE WRITE DOWN! Thanks in advance!

I faced same problem i applied in june 2017 but this may they asked me for medical again . I passed the medical in last august they asked for background form as well . I submitted both and i got everythin with in week like dm ppr but all they exact after a year . So dont worry
