Hi @legalfalcon
I have got PNP from Manitoba . they have adviced me to apply for PR through paper application . Can some one walk me through the process, Me and my wife on a workpermit and we got a son who was born in Canada. I was wondering if I have to get a PCC for my son and my wife also. Do i have to include my son in application process.

I landed on April 19 via peace bridge by crossing border and have not received any kind of update on my PR card. It's more than 70 days since landing. Approx processing time is 58 days.
Sent web inquiry twice and the reply I received wasn't much helpful. All it said was all my docs are in order and will get update once decision has been made.

Is there anything which can be done or I am just little unlucky and just wait for the card!?

I am the PA and the my hubby is the biological parent and the exclusive custody is with the exspouse of my husband. We did provide a detailed letter of explanation along with phone call details, messages details, and an affidavit from a common relative of my husband and his exspouse, who actually went in person to talk with them and was denied any help. We have given all this and had requested to exclude my stepson from the application. After which we received a request from NDVO to sent a notarised affidavit as per format they provided. After we submitted this affidavit within two days the medicals was cleared.

My Gcms generated on 29/5/2018 shows security done. And only eligibility in process.

The request for affidavit from ndvo(12/06/2018) and subsequent changes to the cic account with respect to medicals (21/06/2018)
Then you need not worry. Its just a matter of time. Request your GCMS notes and keep track of your application. Soon your Eligibility will be passed, that is the most crucial stage.

Many thanks @legalfalcon.
I emailed getgcms to inquire about any updates for my CSIS notes. Their response was since CSIS letter mentioned that my SS was still under process two months ago, I wont receive my notes and will need to lodge and pay for a new CSIS application?!? For some reason I assumed that they will release the notes once there done hence I already paid.
Unfortunately, CSIS only responds to the current request. If on the date when the request was filed, your application was under process, and exempt from disclosure, CSIS will not provide any more info. A new request will have to be place to find the latest status. Only in cases where the CSIS has concluded its involvement, will CSIS release the notes that will have the dates.

Thanks @legalfalcon. My education and work is not from Canada. But my education is part time and it overlaps with work. So then no problem there.
If your education is not form Canada, then you can claim points for work you did along with your education.

Hi @legalfalcon
Need your advise pls.
My AOR is November 9th 2017
PNP-Outland.Visa office-London.
Received GCMS notes on June 15th.

Eligibilty: passed on 9th April
Criminality-Passed
Security-(blank)
HIRV-(blank)
Admissibilty section : s.15(1) on top and security type 1&2 (me & spouse).
In Notes there is a text as
"Addresses & background info reviewed including all sub-tabs"

Last week i got a reply from london visa office saying that my file is awaiting a final review with a migration officer.
What could be the current status? Is there any chance of SS?
A final review is when all security details have been added to your file and the officer is awaiting to review before releasing the PPR.

You are almost there, just a few more days.

thanks, i thought they restart your eligibility of employment history from scratch and thats why it could take long.
hopefully mine should be done soon then.

By the way how serious is a removal order for one's future?

before submitting my application for PR, I had applied for pgwp extension which got refused then i was on implied status and decided to restore status to visitor which got refused and i got refusal letter which said to ' leave immediately '. There was no form number IMM 5238 on it and no mention of verifying exit with CBSA. so is it considered a removal ' order ' ?

when doing my entry at the airport when they ask me if i was ever issued a removal order, should i say yes?

Just wondering once i get PR and in future if i decide to apply for citizenship, will this refusal be an obstacle for me?

Also could this be the reason why my BG is taking so long because of 2 applications that were refused?
This is not removal order. Removal order is when you appear before the Immigration Board and your case is decided against you and a removal order issued. Or if you are caught in the Country illegally, and after prosecuting you a removal order is issued.

You may have extended BGC, bot nothing else.

@legalfalcon

I had applied to sinp in 2016 for noc 2171 and my application was refused saying ur noc looks close to 2173 and is not in demand. However it was mistake and i applied again in 2017 and got the nomination based on new reference letter because that aligned more with the language of 2171. So would this rejection from 2016 effect my PR now?
No, it will have no impact.

@legalfalcon if a person has travelled to the US for business B1 visa staying there for a max of 1 month at a timetime has a total of 7 months stay cumulative in the last 3 years do they need FBI clearance? Also for UAE travelled multiple times on business stayed for a max of 2 weeks at a stretch and a cumulative of 7 months in 7 year period but never had a residence permit. Is UAE PCC required? Please help.
IRCC has clarified this:

  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a rowwithin the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.

No, you do not have to include your son in the application as he is a Canadian Citizen. However, for POF (which you are exempt as you have a job, you will have to take him into account). You will mention your child in the application, but his citizenship will be Canadian, so no need to worry.

Did you provide an address when you landed to the CBSA officer?

If you did, then no need to worry. Some PR cards take longer than others. Just wait.

If you do not receive it by the end of the third month, then you will need to Contact IRCC.

Hello,
I have OINP-HCP application running and decision is due at any moment in a week.

I have a question about RCMP. I lived in Canada almost 4 years. Please see below time line.
December 2010-september 2015 --> In Canada
August 2015--> came to India
May 2017--> Got RCMP report
August 2015 till Present --> In India.

so the question is, can I use same RCMP (May 2017) report for my future EE application? I'm asking this as this is a year old report and I don't know the expiration date of this report.
Another concern is, I got this report in 2017 and I never been in Canada after 2015, so either way if I get a new report, it shows same details which was present in 2017 report. so there is no make sense to get a new one.
Am I right or I'm missing something?

Thanks
