A final review is when all security details have been added to your file and the officer is awaiting to review before releasing the PPR.

You are almost there, just a few more days.
Thank you @legalfalcon

Then you need not worry. Its just a matter of time. Request your GCMS notes and keep track of your application. Soon your Eligibility will be passed, that is the most crucial stage.
Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, CSIS only responds to the current request. If on the date when the request was filed, your application was under process, and exempt from disclosure, CSIS will not provide any more info. A new request will have to be place to find the latest status. Only in cases where the CSIS has concluded its involvement, will CSIS release the notes that will have the dates.
Does the same apply to CBSA notes? Will they provide the notes at an extended date if the screening is still undergoing? or they ll just do what CSIS did? I just don't want to waist an additional 35$ to learn something I already know

CBSA provides a report, which is exactly the GCMS, but the security details are not retracted. In some cases CBSA can seek an extension of 30 or more days if they need to have consultations, but the report will always be issued, unlike CSIS where they simple revert back that the security screening is under process.

Requesting CSIS or CBSA is a personal choice. Only if you thing that finding when the SS started should you request CBSA.

I am new to Canada and here on a closed work permit.My spouse is back in India and we are applying an open work permit for him from outside Canada.Also he has also started his process for PR and he is the primary applicant .As the PR is going to take time we thought mean while we can apply for open work permit for him.Is it possible to have one PR application and one Temporary (work permit ) application simultaneously ? Will that be a problem.?
Your help will be highly appreciated .
Thanks

Did you provide an address when you landed to the CBSA officer?

If you did, then no need to worry. Some PR cards take longer than others. Just wait.

If you do not receive it by the end of the third month, then you will need to Contact IRCC.
Just today I received a photo request.
Thanks.

@legalfalcon,

Few clarifications,

1. I had a FD with Bank A, which I later transferred to Bank B in Feb'18. I have the FD Receipt from the previous bank, copy of the Bank Cheque issued for withdrawing the funds from Bank A with the copy of the Bank A savings statement which contains the withdrawal and issuance details of the Bank Cheque. I have explained this in the LOE. Where do I attach the documents of Bank A? LOE section or POF section?

2. With regard to Salary Slips, how many salary slips do I need to attach in the Employment Section to prove my employment? Is it sufficient to submit a single salary slip (maybe for August month) for a particular year, i.e. 03 salary slips for the 03 years? Or is it required to have multiples from a single year?

3. Is it required to state all my savings accounts with a bank in balance confirmation letter, or only just the ones that I use for POF? Because the balances in other accounts are negligible and I am not showing as POF?

4. My bank letter states that I can withdraw the funds at any time, but they do not say its unencumbered. Will this be an issue? What should I do about this?

5. Salary Slips needs to be certified by HR?

6. Is it okey that the POF letters, Employer Letters etc. are addressed to the High Commission of Canada in our own country?

Hi @legalfalcon

I have a small query. I will be claiming points for following jobs.

Company A = 9th July 2014 - 17th July 2014 (9 Days)
Company B = 5th August 2014- 26th May 2017 (1026 Days) This includes 1 Leap Day from 2016 as well.
Company C = 17th July 2017 - 15th Sept 2017 (61 Days)

So, total = 1096 Days = 3 years 1 day ( including an extra day in leap year)
Even if you exclude 1 extra day of leap year it would be exact 1095 Days or 3 years.

And since in EE Profile, system calculates based on months not days.

Company A = July 2014 - July 2014 (0 Months)
Company B = August 2014- May 2017 (34 Months)
Company C = July 2017 - Sept 2017 ( 3 Months)

Total = 37 Months

So i am good to claim point for 3 years of foreign work experience. Right? Just want to make sure if it will not be considered as misinterpretation since I am able to proof 3 or more years of foreign work experience by both months and days calculation separately.

Hey @legalfalcon

I have a question about the work ex . My work ex is with the same company in India and US

I’ve held 4 different designations in it . Shall I add the job responsibilities of each designation or just 7-8 responsibilities which covers everything ? Which is the best approach?

Also, shall i make separate entry in cic website for each designation or mention in one entry as it is all in the same company.

1. It maters a lot on the LVO your file is at. These notes are old, and I am sure that has been some progress after this. You can request new GCMS Notes and see if there has been progress. Although, your Meds does say -reevaluation. Se read your notes and see if they sent your Meds for reevaluation, and that may be delaying the process.

2. You should not have done it without them asking. Instead, you should have sent a request for extension, only when that would have been denied, and you would have been asked for re-meds, that is when you do it.

3. At this stage, all you can do is request GCMS notes. They do help in pushing the application ahead.

4. No, that has no bearing. US visa or no visa, your info will be share and run through the partner countries anyway.

5. It won't help you at this stage, except make you happy and your pockets lighter.
@legalfalcon

Just received another set of notes, absolutely no change from the one i posted above,

is there an agency I should contact to report pendency of infosharing?

Maybe they made some errors while requesting biographic information, i fear this loop will never close.

Hello,
I have OINP-HCP application running and decision is due at any moment in a week.

I have a question about RCMP. I lived in Canada almost 4 years. Please see below time line.
December 2010-september 2015 --> In Canada
August 2015--> came to India
May 2017--> Got RCMP report
August 2015 till Present --> In India.

so the question is, can I use same RCMP (May 2017) report for my future EE application? I'm asking this as this is a year old report and I don't know the expiration date of this report.
Another concern is, I got this report in 2017 and I never been in Canada after 2015, so either way if I get a new report, it shows same details which was present in 2017 report. so there is no make sense to get a new one.
Am I right or I'm missing something?

Thanks
As per IRCC,
  • For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row.
  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a rowwithin the last 10 years.
You can use the RCMP PCC issued in 2017. However, it will be at the discretion of IRCC to accept it, or request a new one.

Hi Legal falcon, I have some questions regarding my cbsa notes. In security section under sub activities it's written
SII Indicator : yes
What is this about? Is it something serious?
Next
Security screening Type (A34): comprehensive
Priority :normal
#of people sent for screening :5
STS Ref#:CA*****(few numbers written )

Please tell me if this is a rare or extensive security screening and what impact will it have on my application?
Need your advice.
This is normal, no need to worry. The SII indicator refers to the different indicators used by CBSA to classify the nature of the SS.

Sorry to hijack this question but what does s13 mean in gcms.My gcms shows s13 with 2 blank pages @legalfalcon how does once check in gcms whether they are in security screening?
It refers to
Information obtained in confidence
  • 13 (1) Subject to subsection (2), the head of a government institution shall refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains information that was obtained in confidence from
    • (a) the government of a foreign state or an institution thereof
Earlier SS was mentioned in GCMS notes. However, lately it has been retracted. The only way to know, is after your eligibility is passed, and if within 2-3 months you do not receive a PPR, then you may be in SS.
