Anyone in here with NOC Code 0124 who has got PT Notification from Ontario?

Hi All,
Anyone in here who is having NOC Code 0124? I got PT Notification from Ontario after 10 days of submitting my Express Entry Profile I am on 435 Points.
Would want to know what are the media/advertising/marketing jobs in Canada?
And how to apply there for similar jobs.
I am A Media Planner working in Mainline Media (Tv, Print, Radio and Digital)

Hi,

I'm 0124 as well, but I'm in Consumer Marketing.

Check LinkedIn, there is plenty to see there. It will give you a starting point. You can also check Glassdoor and Monster. And they have an Advertizing Association which can be also a good start. Try to google it as I don't recall the corrected name and site. I came across it couple of months ago.

Also, try to track down all the media agencies in the country (start with international ones) and visit their sites. They usually have listed job openings. What comes into my mind as interesting could be as well LoyaltyOne.

You can also write to National Occupational Classification (NOC) Team at NC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca to ask them what would they recommend as NOC for your job duties.

I wrote to them last summer to check my NOC and they were really helpful.

However they only provide advice and cannot guarantee that CIC or OINP will treat the job duites as what they described, but I believe that they can give you good advice.

This is what they wrote at the end of the mail: "In addition, please note that the final decision for selecting the most appropriate National Occupational Classification (NOC) code is each individual's responsibility as you know your education, skills and abilities better than anyone else. However, the ultimate decision remains the responsibility of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) as they are the only ones who have the authority to determine if the information provided meets their criteria. Our role is only to provide guidance."

That's great. Congratulations!! I'm assuming you've started working in Canada in the advertising industry. I have the same NOC. Can you help me understand the scenario there?

I have carefully read both the descriptions and I feel NOC 0124 fits for all the bellow three roles, yet I am confused between 1123 because my role at Group M was more of a content specialist, although the positions says, Manager, (Entertainment, Sports Portal)

Below are my roles;
1. Marketing Executive, Doordarshan
2. Manager, Content, Group M Media Pvt Ltd
3. Assistant manager, brand promotions, HT Media Ltd
