When I applied, the wait time was 6 months, so i didnt think i'd need Urgend Processing. But I do need it by September because I am applying for a work visa in USA and I think Canadian Citizenship would make it easier? Is it possible to contact them to get the status changed to urgent processing now?

Thanks

You are lucky to have early Test Invite/ Test date. I submitted February 5, 2018 too. 1 Adult / 1 minor application. I am from Toronto, papers was sent in Sydney Nova Scotia CPC. Till now there is no Test Date/ Test Invitation ~ IP May 01, 2018. Gotta be patient. ☹️

Hi peeps!

Can anybody tell me when do we find out which office is processing our application? I have just received a request to submit (June 1) and submitted (June 9) my fingerprints.

My application is "in process" but I am in the midst of changing my name and so, need to send in support docs. I just spent 45 min on hold with IRCC and got an e-mail with all the steps but sadly forgot to ask where to send the support documents. All they sent me was:

"...
If you have:
  • Already submitted your citizenship application,
  • Legally changed your name, and
  • You would like that name to appear on your certificate:
Now where the heck is my "responsible office"?! lol

Thank you in advance! :)

Hello, i hope someone here can give me advice. My timeline is

Application receive: 16 Feb
AOR: 15 March
IP: 6 June

I am going back home in November to attend to important family matters. Is there a chance i finished with my citizenship and be able to get a canadian passport before Nov?

Or can i delay my test date if ever and also delay thr oath taking? Or apply for urgent processing? Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

You can delay your test, but note that this will add extra weeks or months to your process time.

If there is urgent reason to travel , why not do so, sometimes in life we have to trade one thing for another based on prio
