Waiting for a Canadian passport

I applied for a Canadian passport at service Canada in Ottawa on May 1, via the normal, non-urgent application. Waiting time should be 20 working days plus the mailing time, so I guess I should receive it by now, but I haven’t.

Any feedbacks from other recent passport applicants? How long did you wait after you applied via the non-urgent application?

It would be faster (7-10 business days) if you applied at a Passport Canada Office under The Same non urgent processing.
I applied directly at a Passport Canada Office in Surrey BC and received my passport after 7 business days.

Here it is. Passport arrived via mail five weeks after applying at Service Canada in Ottawa.

Hooray, no more PR card hassle when checking-in on flights, or I-94W questionnaires and waiting when entering the USA via the land border.

Always apply in-person at the Passport Office.
It's faster.

Congrats on your passport. It feels very nice to finally touch that piece of document doesn't it? Just so you know you will still need to wait to enter USA via border crossing like everyone else. If maybe you want to save 10 mins, you should apply for Nexus. Didn't mean to pop your bubble there, but I had to say it. :)

I was referring to the I-94W form related procedure. You need to renew it every six months to be able to enter the USA via land border. For me it meant - park the car, go inside the building, wait 45 - 60 minutes, complete forms, do bio-metrics, pay the fees. Forms used to be simple and easy to fill, but they were getting more and more exhaustive.

I am looking forward to avoid this.

Usually passport comes in by Xpresspost in few days so it really depends.......Only you can decide where you will be in next few days and where will you have possession of your mailbox....
You need to go to the passport office and perhaps update them your new address there.

Best Scenario was:
You pay a bit extra and Pickup your passports in person AT the passport office.
If you knew you were moving, you should've done/picked this option already when you applied for passports.
Lots of people do this. Not sure why you didn't.
