CAQ delayed

I applied for my CAQ on 12th April and today it is almost a month I have not received an update. It is stuck on 'opening your file' . I have secured admission in Concordia university but my admission is subject to me attending a program in oxford for 6 days. Even though my university begins in Sept I have to attend this program on 27th May. Since I have not received my CAQ I can not apply for my Visa. If I fail to attend this program my admission will be deffered by 1 year. I am really afraid. Can something be done? Also, is there any way to fast track student visa process. I only have 10 days in hand for both my CAQ and visa.

Hi amina_bambotia. This is happening to me too. I applied on 12th April and I followed up with my country's tracking code and my documents arrived on the 16th April. But when I check in website, the same message appears to me "opening of your file"...

Hi me too applied on 19 april but still no reply if you get your CAQ plzz reply so that i can get the idea in how many days i will recieve my CAQ letter.

I mailed my CAQ application dossier on the 10th May, and my courier showed me that it's been delivered on the 15th. However, as of today, there is barely an update that they've received my documents in the online portal. Is this normal?

Yes, its normal.
I applied on April 26th. My documents reached the office on April 30th according to DHL Currier.
Yesterday, on June 1st I received an email updating the reception of the documents...
(But they put the reception on April 30th).

I think next week I will receive my CAQ.

Thanks a lot, my friend. I've always wondered why the MIDI won't upgrade their system to like an online one. Mailing is no way modern, and it's too time-consuming.

I received my CAQ today, June 2nd.
Yesterday they updated the portal informing the documents reception and today the issued the CAQ answer.

My CAQ timeline is:
- April 24th - CAQ online application, fee payment and forms downloaded;
- April 25th - Documents collected by DHL Courrier to send to Montréal;
- April 30th - Documents reached the destination at Montréal;
- May 31st - I called the office to have some information regarding my application and they confirmed that my documents were correctly received;
- June 1st - CAQ portal was updated with the information about documents reception on apr/30.
- June 2nd - CAQ answer issued.

I also applied online to the Student Visa right after the CAQ reception...
