Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2018

Hello All,

I have a question.

In the Financial Evaluation form (IMM5768) i put my T4 income instead of income from NOA.
My T4 income as well as Income from NOA (Line 150) is still higher then the required income.

Will this be a problem as the guide says to mention Income from NOA not the T4 income ?

I sponsored my parents in 2007 and they landed in 2013. They both are over 65. Can they apply for old age pension plan or any financial social assistance? They don't have any income here.

CPP is ruled out as they did not contribute, OAS is also ruled out since one has to stay in Canada for 10 years since the age of 18 and one can only qualify for GIS if they qualify for OAS.

If they go on social assistance then you as a sponsor will have to pay back the govt since your contract to support your parents is good for 20 years

oh i think i understand the confusion here
my parents applied normal visitor visa before. and there are UCI on the visa, that UCI is usable to search.
if you cannot find that or do not have that. you can always use your own UCI, sponsor's UCI, to check status.

If both income are above low income cutoff there is no problem in that.

In 2007 the sponsorship undertaking used to be 10 years for parents/grandparents. They changed the law in 2014 and since then it's 20 years of financial responsibility when you sign the forms. But his parents are still ineligible as it's been only 5 years since they have landed. 5 more years to go.

I submitted on 26th April, still not received AOR and no record on ECAS.

Experts, I have two questions regarding Parents Sponsorship. If you could please reply.

1- My parents have already Super Visa and I applied for PR too. They are planning to Visit Canada and will stay here for a while. Meanwhile if the local office of my home country asked for their passports for PR Visa, what options will I have ?
2- In Parents Sponsorship, after approval, do they need to appear for Interview in local office ? Or most they are deciding on papers and later ask for passports for stamping ?

Is this there 1st visit on there supervisa? Otherwise they only qualify for a 6 month stay. You can of course attempt to extend. You can notify. that you parents are in Canada and can be processed through Canada while they are visiting.

What does the column "E-case status for sponsor" mean? What does "Appl. received" mean?

Ecas is basically for checking status of the application online.If you use your UCI number in ecas it will show if the application has been received by the visa office or not.But now a days it is taking time to update in ecas as the visa office are probably busy in sorting applications.

Hello,
that should be fine, it depends how you have entered your information.
for example if you have worked for multiple companies in any 1 year then probably we need to use t4 and if you just worked for 1 then NOA should be fine.
