Want to know what is the reason for being extremely slow to get test invitation.

Thanks for the response. To give a bit of an update, I requested ATIP on April 3rd, got it only yesterday (May 11th), making me pretty annoyed.

Only criminality passed in February, and although I was IP from Feb 2, I think Kitchener recorded my file as received on March 3. None of the other checks had started as of April 4 (the date they based the ATIP on).

A friend who applied the same day as I did now has even oath scheduled, so I was worried that something went wrong with my file...but here I see that the other checks hadn't even started by the time my friend had the test scheduled.

On the one hand it's good because my file doesn't have issues for now, on the other hand, unsure why files are picked randomly.

I also noticed that they added end of 2018 as a deadline for the checks; I hope that's just done by a system, otherwise it would mean waiting more than a year for citizenship processing.

Summertime's here so files will probably move at a slower pace

I became Canadian Citizen on May 15th.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. They helped me to be ready for the test and etc.

My wife applied in October, and her application is in precess. She has not received a test invitation yet.

Is this normal?
