Holy guacamole I'll lose my sanity if I have to wait that long for my test without any contact from CIC. @vlais84 did you submit an ATIP request at any time?
I'll hopefully be able to update the group with my ATIP results by May 2/3.

There's actually quite a few people including me who submitted their application a week or two after him and haven't heard back anything either. I wonder what the hold up could be since rest of the people who submitted their apps or got their IP around the same time got their invites months ago and even got done with the oaths already. Dunno why there's a delay of months between progress of rest of the applicants who applied at the same time

I called CIC so many times, they told me it is in process and it is in Kitchener office.
After the new changes came up in October ,So many people applied so that's why it postpone mine application...

Yeah we don't have another option at this stage. Good that it came eventually. It gives hope to those of us who are waiting like you. We either got unlucky in a pile on a desk somewhere, or our checks are taking longer than some others.

Yea I understand, these timelines are really weird. Even I applied just 3 weeks after the first new rule applicants, but my AOR took really long, which is why I got my IP Feb 2. I have no issues waiting, but I enjoy travelling and usually like to go somewhere every few weeks in the summer, but the fear of a 2-week notice keeps me at the edge and ends up making my plans expensive. I can't tell myself to wait till I get my passport, because summer's precious! Honestly if CIC told me that they'd call me for a test in August and oath in October or something, I'd be happy. Not knowing hurts.
