Vancouver applicants - (C-6 10/11)

EDIT TO ADD: June 15th date confirmed with CIC through email, will receive the official invite 3-4 weeks prior to event

I received an unusual email today.

Some background: IP since early Feb, applied with an address from a remote Vancouver island location (though I moved to Vancouver more recently)

To summarize, my email says IRCC will be delivering citizenship services on those locations and dates:

Victoria, BC: Fall 2018
 Nanaimo, BC: Fall 2018
 Kelowna, BC: Summer/Fall 2018
 Prince George, BC: Fall 2018
 Whitehorse, YK: Summer/Fall 2018


However, I am given the opportunity to pick a date and come to Surrey or Vancouver and do test/ceremony on the same day

Friday, June 15, 2018
 Friday, July 20, 2018
 Friday, August 17, 2018
 Friday, September 21, 2018

Those dates are for Van, I also got 4 similar dates for Surrey.

I have to email to pick a date (first come first serve), and will receive my invite 3 weeks prior.

Also, no guarantee to do the ceremony as that depends on the test+interview.

Updated your Test and Oath dates to June 15 (same day oath). Your DM date will be updated on June 15, one you pass test/interview prior to Oath.

No idea. I received the official invite and forms to fill and sign yesterday. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress. For now I'm busy studying for the test. I need to pass this one because my letter said the next sessions in Victoria will be in the Fall!

Oath all done yesterday!

Very quick ceremony - went there at 10 AM. A little paperwork checking and off to the oath area then.

Oath ceremony itself took around 40 mins tops.

Took some pictures and that was it! Got a certificate with citizenship number on it.

Could be due to Victoria day...special ceremony. (Although 24th is NOT Victoria day...but close enough I guess)

I got it by canada post mail. ECAS was updated a day after I got the invite. Never received any email.

I guess it just depends on your agent.

It looks like BC is on break or vacation, no news of test or oath. However my wife spoke to an agent last week she told her that the reason we have not been invited is due to our location but assured her that before mid-July we would have gotten out Citizenship because they will bring an internerat service center close to us soon, and also that we should get a notification in about 3 weeks time. It's possible that we will do test and oath same day.
