Honestly I'm a full time student and I work two jobs so I waited until the day before the test (I was way too busy), I would not advise that at all. Give yourself a week or two to properly absorb the information.
I read the book, I did practices questions (100 at a time), I re-read the book, and did the practice questions again.
I think alternating helped me because after the first time reading the book, doing the questions made me realize I didn't remember a lot from the book. I also went over the answers from the online practice questions and it helped me a lot during my second time reading the book.
The test was easier than I thought. The lady who gave us instructions was very calm and said to not worry if we failed the first time around. Thank goodness I got a 19/20. For my test, I think they called us based on how we were stacked in the C/O pile of applicants because I finished pretty fast and I waited almost an hour for my interview. AND a guy had to get to work but the C/O came out and told him it depended on where he was in her pile and he was on the bottom and she couldn't move him.
Side note: If you didn't received your test invite letter itself, call the call centre. The lady in front of me didn't get hers so she told the gentleman signing her in that she checked ecas and saw she had a test and he was giving her a hard time, luckily her C/O was right behind him and told him it was fine because she recognized her name.
Hi Sheri,
Could you advise me on Test prep, please?
