27th Feb IP2s

I got a ghost update on 11th April and again on the 13th, but nothing happened ever since. I've called CIC since then and they said my file is undergoing additional verifications.
I was really hoping I was just days away from PPR when I saw the update.

If we call CIC, may that increase our processing time my friend? And could you please share the phone number, I want to call them too..., thanks.

No it shouldn't have any affect on the processing times.

Did you call on the 11th by any chance? The date must mean something. Maybe some checks started on the 11th March and he basically thought 'give it 6 months and see if it's done by then'. I'd say give it some time but call before that date.

What the heck Additional Verification ? I believe you are very close to receiving your PPR & most probably in this month .

No, i think it was on april 18 or 19 i dont remember but not on the 11th.

Yesterday there were 12 PPRs updates out of which 6 were IP2s of 27th Feb.

1. India—India—PNP.O—Sydney —71

4. Egypt—KSA—PNP.O—London —196
5. India—India—PNP.O—Unknown—60
6. India—India—PNP.O—Sydney —73

Remaining other 4 PPRs had IP2 status before 27 Feb & 2 after that date.

One more interesting observation that IRCC is still maintaining the same pattern of issuing PPR very shortly once the BG status changes to IP2 except the mass IP2s of 27 Feb. As per Myimmitracker 64 out of all the 89 post 27-Feb IP2s have received PPRs soon after their status changed to IP2. Therefore unfortunately our BG status were erroneously changed to IP2 on 27th Feb.
However we really enjoyed the euphoric period of almost two weeks after that change
