I applied on 27 April, 2016.
My husband applied for gcms note in May2017. From the note we came to know that criminality verification has not started yet and the security verification is in peocess.
Then in august 2017 my husband contacted his local MP. And you know what? He informed us the same as the gcms note. Nothing new! Still now i got no mail regarding my remedical or any other updates. In fact they don’t even iform us what’s wrong eith my application! I am just hanging in the middle of the sea for the last two years! Its so frustrating!

We can provide you with the following details about the status of your constituent’s Application to sponsor a spouse living outside Canada:



  • The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Ontario on September 7, 2016.
  • The initial assessment to ensure your constituent meets the eligibility criteria and that the application is complete was finalized on October 11, 2016.
  • The review of the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent’s spouse meets the eligibility requirements was finalized on May 23, 2017.
  • The medical examination results have expired. The office will contact your constituent’s spouse with further instructions.
  • The criminality and security verifications are currently valid.
  • If the application is approved:
    • the constituent’s spouse will need to send their passport to the Canadian visa office to obtain the permanent resident visa, and
    • the officer will issue the Confirmation of Permanent Residence document which your constituent’s spouse will present at the port of entry in order to be granted the status of permanent resident of Canada.
  • If the application is refused:
    • the officer will send the constituent’s spouse child a refusal letter,
    • a copy of the refusal letter will also be sent to your constituent including:
      • a letter explaining appeal rights*,
      • a Notice of Appeal*, and
      • instructions to obtain a refund of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, if it was already paid..
This is mine same thing but my security is currently vaild with criminality is currently vaild but still no news even i got my note on jan 2018 same thing ... when my husband visit MP office they said wait it's become 4 months no updates
 
FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REGARDING MY SPOUSE VISA APPLICATION
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 11, 2017.
  2. We started processing your application on November 9, 2017.
  3. We sent you correspondence on October 4, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Can Someone guide me. What is happening with my file. Is it on right track?? and how long it will take for DM.
