Non refundable fee of $500 or more. Even if that's not idiot proof, atleast legitimate candidates will have the satisfaction that idiots were hurt.

That fee gets applied towards your application, if you're eligible.

Simple solution.

I love your idea. Make it $1000 to enter the lottery:
1. if you're selected and qualified, $1000 counted toward your app fees.
2. If you're not selected, you get $500 back
3. If you're selected and not qualified, too bad, you lost your lottery ticket.

Hello po! So I will include my dad's wife and my sister who's 13 yrs old in my application, but my stepmom and my sister are not accompanying my dad. Do I need to pay for them too?

People who weren't selected will not receive a rejection email. Emails were only sent to successful candidates. I hope this helps :)
I received a rejection email last April when I wasn't selected. .I'm expecting the same unless something has changed?

I would suggest to just use your confirmation number and check it against the list of selected numbers below:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ip/sponsor-parents-grandparents/selected.html

If you lost your confirmation number, then you can contact IRCC through the webform to check on your behalf. Takes 10 business days.

The note that they posted, does not indicate anything about informing those that weren't selected, unlike last year.

"We will send confirmation emails to those who have been selected"

Suggestion Needed: I am filling forms for my parents and need some clarification. I know they didn't asked for police clearance certificate/background check in checklist.

My parents got Medial done in Jan-2018(For super Visa). I was thinking if I send PCC along with application they would get all the things they need. Will sending PCC with application help make it faster to get PR. OR should I just send application and wait when they asks for PCC or fresh Medicals ?

I have a question about schedule 1 address history, My parents have gone to vacation couple of time but they don't have addresses of the place they stayed. As the stay was very short i.e 1 to 3 days. Should I add this to the address history list? If yes what should I write in the address?

No, you don't need to pay fees for non-accompanying dependents.

It will not make it faster.

CIC asked for copy of passport pages with address and other personal details only, perhaps it won't be a bad idea to add copy of the pages with Visa!

Thanks for the quick reply, do you know if there a link where CIC stats for this ?

I would slightly deviate from what I said, the document checklist has asked for copy of passport of Sponsor (Canadian) with address and other details but they haven't mentioned the same for the parents passport, but I will still recommend to provide the copy of all pages in passport with their personal information and the Visa stickers.

The information is available in the Document Checklist: https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5771e.pdf

I am sponsoring my mom this year.

My husband is co signing with me. My question is: When counting for the family size, does the father of my husband get included. He doesnt leave with us and leaves in another country.

If I do not include my husband as a cosigner do we still have to count his father.

Thank you!
