i'm a oct 2017 applicant

file received : 3th nov
email received about file received with UCI and Appliaction # : 11 nov
medical required : 15 nov
Eligibility confirmation received : 17 noc 17
background decliration required : 20 nov 17
medical complete process took 3 months as they required different checkups as they found a spot in my left side of chest xray.
complete medical submitted on : 23 feb.


what is the next process ? and how much time would they take to ask for passport ?

sorry i forgot to respond to your question. the next step would be them sending your application to London, UK Visa Office (LVO)
LVO takes minimum 2 months to actually start looking into your file from the trends i have seen. but there is no maximum time for them to respond, some people are stuck at LVO for more than 6-7 months. Once LVO decides that the Principal Applicant is eligible and marriage is genuine etc, then you will get Decision Made message and eventually a Passport Request etc.

you can check your status online from 2 different tools.
1) Gckey (have you registered for it?) https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html
2) ECAS https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en

hi, you dont need to notify them. as long as you provided correct info at the time of application.

No, not grp 2 .. there should be a longer number .. is ur file put away? Is it under a group created in march 28th 2017? If so, the grp # shud b .. 1-az8oojb .. kuch aisa hai? See around page 2 or 3 ..

Im just tryin to figure out if its a full mass update randomly or did it effect certain groups only ..

yea that is eligibility for sponsor, but the Applicant goes through the process also.

they have reduced the time yes from 18 months down to 12 months. so officially they can take as long as Nov 2018 for your application.

as you can see i got the medical very fast and i have submitted each and everything from pictures to call records msgs records , wedding bills etc.
my first medical was done on 28 nov after a weak. my medical center called and said they need to do some more tests as they found a spot in my xray. this process with 3 tests and ended on 23feb.

so do you think they would have processed my file for reaming process in this 3 months time period and once the complete medical they can immediately ask for the passport and other stuff ? so that time can not be waste.

did you receive an email saying that your file has been trasferred to London Visa office? if you have not, then that means your file is still at Mississauga and they have not sent it for further processing.

everything came fast for me as well, within 1.5 months i was done with medical, PCC, Sched A everything submitted. but it has been over 1 month since my file was sent to LVO and nothing has been done so far. i applied in October last year.

i want to add to Posse's comment above .. there is no set time .. i applied in May and a lot of May applicants got visas and I didn't .. my file was put away ..

just relax and keep prayin that they process your file quickly .. the wait is driving everyone crazy here ..
