Hi All,

I received a NOI on 26-Jan-18 and submitted my application to OINP on 10-Feb-18. I didn't receive any AOR and the application status on ONE-key is "Submitted" as of today.

Is it normal not to receive AOR for this long as I've seen people normally receive AOR on the same day they submit the online application.

My CRS was 439 when I received the NOI and dropped to 434 when I submitted the application because of age. The screenshot of NOI that I submitted had the updated CRS and also in the application I mentioned the updated CRS but didn't provide any explanation for the drop in score. I have provided all the remaining documents as requested and meet all the criteria specified in the guide.
It's ok to be on the "Submitted" stage for much longer, even for 1 or 2 months.
For instance, you may check processing times for November stream here
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WO1uOUFyNQkPWOohddp07hwk6d1I1WXLKZYXo5l9Cvo/edit?usp=sharing
So keep calm and be ready to wait for a loooooong time without any visible changes.
However, I wish you to be the one who will pass the process in a shorter time.

Lost 10 points between last draw and today's draw because of my birthday (I'm 41) and with that my score reduced to 393 from 403. No point in increasing my IELTS as it gets me a max of 399 CRS. I, now, lost the opportunity for OINP. With LMIA jobs becoming impossible for 2174, I have no choices left.
I'm thinking of changing my profile as "Non accompanying spouse" because that puts my score at 405 and gives me another opportunity for one more year. But, I read its troublesome to get spouse PR done later. Has anyone gone through this and was able to get things done successfully without much hassle? Any info on this will be much appreciated.
NOC 2174 is listed as an in-demand occupation for Nova Scotia. You can keep your documents ready and apply as soon as this stream opens. Other option could be to look for a Master's program depending on your interest and cost-benefit analysis.

Hi, I just got my IELTS results and hoping to get my ECA ready by end of Mar-2018. I was working in Canada from July-2013 to Sep-2015 on Work Permit. If I submit my EE profile during Apr-2018, will I still be eligible to apply for CEC category? According to my calculation the CRS score is 402. Hopefully I should be eligible for OINP. Just want to confirm with you folks

Is it mandatory to have job offer to apply for OINP? I have 18 years of Work Experience and will quote that in my resume. According to my understanding, it is necessary to show experience letter for the past ten years and not for the entire 18 years. Is my understanding correct?

Hey All,

I got an email requesting from OINP, requesting for my WES Duplicate ECA. Which I did.
But i have 2 questions.

1. After sending the duplicate through WES, Do we need to email ONIP? If so what should we email?
2. How long will it take?

Bonus: what if your EE profile becomes "Profile Ineligible" in the process for some reason?

Yes, you need to provide reference letter for the last 10 years.
It is not mandatory to have job offer to apply.

Don't need to send. But, it is safe to respond to that email along with payment receipt in the attachment.

In the blink of an eye:) WES sends your duplicate report electronically.

Use CRS tool to infer you are eligible or not http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

CEC requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements. They must:

  • Have obtained at least one year of skilled, professional or technical work experience in Canada within 36 months of the application date; and
  • Meet or surpass a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 ("initial intermediate") or 7 ("adequate intermediate proficiency"), depending on the level of the job; and
  • Plan to live and work outside of the province of Quebec (individuals with work experience in Quebec and who plan to reside in Quebec may apply to the Quebec Experience Class).
Applicants can remain in Canada throughout the application process. However, the Canadian Experience Class is also open to individuals who are no longer in Canada, provided that they submit their application within three years of leaving their job in Canada.

The Canadian Experience Class requirements are based on a pass or fail model. If the minimum requirements are met, the applicant is eligible to enter the Express Entry pool.

Note: Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (for example, on a co-op work term) does not count under this program.

You are very right. 45days to accept the NOI and 14 dayS to submit a complete application from the day you create your profile on OINP one key portal.
Now it is just 45 days for everything, which means you have to create a profile in OINP portal and submit within 45 days. There is no 14 days mentioned at all anywhere. Please clarify seniors.

Nominated yesterday!

Ontario started 2018 slow, but now they're sliding! Don't worry folks, you'll grab your chance.

NOC 2171
CRS 392 (at submission)

EE profile created 19 Jun 2017
EE profile re-created 28 Jun 2017
NOI received 29 Jun 2017

Got all paperwork ready July 25 2017, but lost that window by about a couple hours since HCP had closed by. Luckily, Ontario reopened HCP opened a new window November 2 2017 and I could use my NOI at the time, since it was under the 6 month validity rule (not applicable anymore).

ONe-key profile created 2 Nov 2017
Submitted 15 Nov 2017
Assessment 19 Jan 2018
DIP 8 Feb 2018
Nominated Feb 2018

No ADR, no PFL

Hang tight, anyone from my submitted date range should be contacted by OINP anytime. Don't worry.

As for everyone else, I'm pretty aware that IRCC has raised the bar this year, and so has OINP. But don't worry, anyone with a 420+ CRS should stay sharp for opportunities. They WILL pop up. Another great alternative for OINP is to try TEF (that was another path I was working around), since there's no minimum CRS threshold to the French Speaking Stream. Actually, candidates from this stream get processed faster than the HCP ones. I know a brazilian peer who got her French Speaking case processed in 12 days, and she's already NA2 in her Express Entry application (Jan 2018 AOR), so it IS a path very worth trying indeed.

Good luck to everyone!

You mean Nova Scotia Category B? :)
Imagine a 25 liter bucketful of water. Swirl the water. Now, lift up the bucket, prick it with a needle at bottom and immediately cover the hole. This will result in a few drops of water spill.
Here, each water drop in the bucket is a candidate in express entry pool ready to grab the opportunity and the spilled drops are the lucky ones to get it.

Hi Raj,
Thanks for the detailed process outlined by you.
I have a question regarding pt 3:
Note 3: If you have 400+ CRS and you haven't received PT in a while, please re-create your profile.
What do you mean by re-creating the EE profile?
Do you mean to say to create it from scratch or update it so that it gets reviewed again?

Thanks in Advance.
Same question for me...
Also, has anyone with 400+ successfully recreated their profile since January and thereafter received a NOI
