Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Hi there. I had a request to submit fingerprints to RCMP. This request came on January 30 and I submitted the fingerprints on February 2nd directly to RCMP. I haven't heard anything back as yet. I'm yet to see an update on my profile and I was told it should only take 3 working days. Should I be concerned?

Unlikely. The delay will no doubt be a Security check. If you are concerned, you can try to reach the call centre (888-242-2100) and verify they have received the report from RCMP.

Criminality takes no time at all. Eg: I can walk into the local police headquarters and request the same check on myself (uses the RCMP database as well), and I can have the results faster that I can enter my debit card PIN.

Does this information correspond with when I reached Stage 2? Also, do I need to do anything for the Security Screening or is that automatically triggered by my application?

It's automatic.

AIP = Eligibility. Once you pass the stage where they decide your Eligibility (are you a member of the Family class, for example), then yes, that starts stage 2.

Ok so My status as of now is I have NO Frigging idea,, Would someone explain the 1 year processing time to me ?..

Here are my dates because I guess I misunderstood the processing time..

App Package received (My Application and my wife's sponsorship application and all other docs )...March 3rd,2017

Processing started for "Sponsorship application" started March 17th 2017

Knowledge of receipt to sponsor me received in wifes email from CIC, on March18th 2017

STARTED PROCESSING MY APPLICATION THIS YEAR FEB,13TH 2018 why so long ???

IMM-5669 Schedule A- completed March 28th 2017
FBI- records check to CIC April 5th 2017
RCMP records check done to CIC April 11th 2017
Temp work permit issued April 28th 2017
Medicals done and passed and mailed on July 28th 2017

We Have not received SA for my wife or AIP for me yet. And why did it take a year to start Processing MY APPLICTION?
Is this normal ? does this mean I have another year to wait for them to get this all done ?

Am I being impatient lol ?

Can you log into ECAS and tell me what it says? We saw exactly the same thing -- others as well. They went from zero to landing invitation in the matter of hours...

Can you log into ECAS and tell me what it says? We saw exactly the same thing -- others as well. They went from zero to landing invitation in the matter of hours...

Oh I called that worthless Attorney we hired and asked her to get a more up to ate status,, she says,, This takes 2 years and if I want any update to call CIC elf and sit on hold for 3 to 4 hours.. OMG Really , So I had to call a MP last summer because I needed a few things answered,, DO YOU think I should call them and get them to help me get an update,, or should I just wait and see what happens??

OK, so I am confused by both being In Process. Usually they are mutually exclusive (one or the other). However, it looks like your application is probably at the Security stage I talk so much about. If you want to speed it up, call your "Deep State" friends, and ask them to get Pompeo to hurry and respond to CSIS . In all seriousness, it will just take a little time. I am sure you will be done in short order...

No need to be sorry. This is typical of CIC. But, no news is good news usually. The lawyer -- don't get me (or @sylvain1) started on that crap. It's been litigated long ago, that *most* folks actually do fine with the paperwork, and do not at all need a lawyer.

I personally don't know. They might argue the later. I argue as soon as they received it. That's also how they do WP's.

No and Yes ,, wife was from there when we met ,, when this all started we lived in Shelburne and moved last Fall to Angus... we do have family in Orangeville.. 1 of my wifes daughter's lives up in GrandValley ,, flooding there is the worst they have ever seen...and they have a really bad situation up there with the lady getting swept down river with her baby,,, we saw a lot of flooding on Highway 50 last night, and angus has a massive amount of flooding along Hwy 10... hows it down your way???
