I noticed people who applied in the 2017 round in May already got their PPR. Most of us who applied in 2016 are still waiting for 2+ years with nothing.... WTF?

looks like depends on LVO - Manila ,Ankara and London are doing 2017 first

Hi folks,
My parents have re done their medicals two weeks before & after 10 days their status was medical passed.
Their file is in Ottaw & today i got email under my fathers name to submit their passport to new delhi office for visa. But my question is although my father is primary & my mother is dependent on file but email mention only my father UCI number so are they suppose to send two seperate emails for passport submission for my parents or only 1 email cz my father is primary and we can submit passports of both of them.
I am wondering cz in email they didnot mention my mothers name or UCI number.

that is normal ... they send the email to the principal applicant and it is his responsability to know who are his dependants and to add their passports to his.... they did the same with my parents ... the email came to my father but the two passports were sent and stamped as they are on the same file..

Great! Not sure where are you located but going to CIC office also an option ,Its smooth and quick.
I just went though the process for my mother .

It is indeed a very sad position to be in. Does anyone know why some people get it done faster than others? Exactly what logic does CIC use in processing applications?

who knows. I applied with my 2 friends in the same time and we did Medical in the same time and their mothers already got PPR last fall but my parents still not. Possibly because they are alone .

One week exactly. We did flagpoling yesterday and it was smooth and officers were cooperative.

So if the medicals are done on 5th July 2017, the visa that will be issued will have expiry date of 4th July 2018.
