@danishriz Suppose we have negative sputum results.. They see white spots again on X-ray.. Now what?? Would they again conduct sputum or TB tests?

i have no idea about that buddy. we need to find out.

Hi guys, i undergo sputum Jan 23,24,25. IOM said 9 weeks bago malaman ung request. But today IOM called me and need ko daw pumunta sa IOM clinic. Im so scared. What do you think guys pag gnun ba need mag treatment..

Hi mem1199. di ako sure,pero sa mga nabasa ko dito, kapag wala pang 8 weeks tinawagan kana ng iom, may posibilidad na don sa three samples na kinuha sayo, may tumubong bacteria. pero wag ka malungkot. kasi kung dadaan ka sa medication, mabilis naman yung six months.may pulmonoligist silang irerefer ata sayo sa makati med.yun ang pagkaka alam ko ha.

So possible na mag undergo na ako medication. Maapektuhan ba ung PR application namin nang buong family ko kasi ung da mga anak ko ok na medical nila.Pati ung sa hubby ko sa canada lahat mag pending. Or ung sa akin lang? Baka may naka experience nang ganito.

hihntayin nila yung medical mo. we are on the same boat. yung sa mister ko sa canada, ok nadin medical nya,since may lung fibrosis ako (scar) need pa hintayin result ng medcal ko kaya dipa sya nagiging PR. dont worry,mabilis naman yung six months.actually eight months ata.kasi six months medication,then after that sputum culture ka ulit for two months.

My sister status as of the moment is 26 more days of treatment left. She had sputum test last August 15-17, the test was negative and waiting for the culture result next month. Her husband and son had their skin test or PPD and the result was negative too. Her last day of treatment is on October 13. Were hoping that she will pass all this tests and will end up for PPR before year ends..

Hi may question lang ako. Regarding sa situation nang sister mo. Kahit di pa tapos treatment nya 6 months pinag sputum na ulit sya nang pulmo nya? Tama ba?

One of my colleagues got diagnosed with bone/ spinal TB around 10 years back. It got treated and cured that time itself.

What extra tests he might need to undergo in this case or does it hinder the chances of getting pr

mem1199, yes i went medication but that was few years ago. when i went to iom for the medical examination, i bring with me my previous xray films and a letter from the pulmo who cured me. i declared that i have lung fibrosis.sorry, need to write in english so others can relate to us.

Hi guys,I got my medical done on 29th Jan. The chest x-ray doesn't seems to be fine and doctor advised to undergo Sputum culture based on CIC's recommendation. Recently, I visited one of the best pulmonologist in my city. He asked me to undergo CT scan as the X-ray wasn't clear. Based on the report, he confirmed that I have inactive TB. In this scenario, do I still need to obtain Sputum Culture results or the report from one of the reputed doctors will support my PR application to avoid causing any further delays. Would appreciate if you can share your thoughts/ opinions on this. Thank you in advance!
