Thanks I check online, it seems like that I can apply before the expired date
So watch the processing time of work permit. Currently it is 45 days. I suggest to get the new one before your current one expires, otherwise there will be a gap for your health card.

Also leave sometime incase something wrong with your BOWP application so you can apply again.

(My a colleague applied with some agent, and that agent forgot to submit one of the forms for him, he was rejected the day before his work permit expired, so in the same day he submitted the second time. But if rejected after work permit expires, I don't what could we do)

My spouse and I got the PPR email a few hours ago after 29 months and 8 days.
The delay on my application was due to a security concern with my previous job.
Thanks you guys for all the info and support. I wish you guys hear good news very soon...

Yes you can but it is better to apply as early as possible because normally, the processing time extends alot after May, you don't want to have gap of your legal document, although it is ok to have a gap but you'd better not do so.
Thanks so much Alex and I appreciate your reply ^^

I just got my PPR. Here is my time frame:
1. Applied for pnp in March 2015, approved in 2 weeks
2. They received my PR application in august 2015
3. They started background check in august 2016
4. Got PPR on February 12, 2018
it took 30 months for you

Do you have master or PhD degree ? if Yes what is your field of study ?
Did CIC ask you for CV ?
