Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

Hi all, I am wondering what can happen if I missed the deadline to submit the police certificate?

It is requested that I should submit it by Jan 1st,2018, but I was outside country in December 2017, so I only managed to submit it on Jan 9th,2018. And they confirmed it on Jan 22nd. Although I did submit a letter of explanation before this deadline, will this cause my application to be delayed?

Schedule A and PCC requested: Nov 28,2017

No, it won’t delay your application. If you were able to submit it, and they acknowledged it. You should be fine.

Ya just landing. My case was a bit weird .
I did meds and then almost 3 months later they transferred my file to etobicoke. The officer called me told me to pay $490 fee today and come in 2 days later to land .got no aip no dm no landing letter haha.

Sent app March 13, 2017. Landed Oct 19, 2017

When you go to check status & messages, there's a "view submitted application" at the bottom of the page. Does it show anything there?

Hi! is March Applicant got any updated yet?
My App Received on Mar 24, 2017 and got background check on end of April 2017 and got medical request on Nov 17 2017 and sent Medical results on the end of Nov and still says that Medical results have been received on my ECAS.

I'm just wondering when I will get updated from that..

Hey, we are all on the same boat here I have a very similar timeline. All we can do is wait... And hopefully, by the end of this month there will be updates. So far there has been just one mysterious case of @KandyK , she got approved within 7 months

Hello everyone, I’m just looking for someone on the same situation as me to compare and see if process is going okay!
I applied for in-land Spousal Sponsorship and a Open Work Permit on September 19, 2017. The only thing is that when I applied I was already out of status as my WP expired in August 2017.
I received the AOR on November 15, 2017 and I have already sent my ceiminal background all good and sent!

Currently this is my status:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 19, 2017.
2. Medical results have been received. ( I had already done the medical so I sent with my application)

I have sent an inquire since my representative said that it would take 4 months to get a work permit and it has passed that period already and this is what CIC said:
“As of December 22, 2014, open work permits may be issued to eligible applicants under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class at an earlier stage in processing if they meet certain criteria. We verified the information on file. However, it has been determined that you do not meet the eligibility criteria. Your application for the open work permit remains valid and will be processed once your sponsorship application is approved in principle.”

Now Question:
Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the Approval in Principle (AIP) so that I could get my WP?

OWP is approved.
Called CIC this morning, the agent said it's approved, and it's just waiting for the paper printing.
They received my application on July 24th, and it has been 5 months.
Finally have something.

I guess the OWP is discontinued is not true then.

It’s usually almost at the end of the process. Between 9 to 11 months, as the case may be.

I applied at the beginning of December and they acknowledged my application a month later, requesting a few extra documents. My visitor status expired on December 31 and I now have implied status. Does this mean that if I apply to restore my visitor status they will give me an open work permit faster? I had no idea about this :S
