I called again and two more agents told me the same things :/WHAT?? This can't be true!!? I heard you only have to wait until AIP if you are out of status. This agent is not telling you true facts, at least I'm praying they aren't true!!

No, I am not. Does PA have their OWP? If so, you can apply for a visa any time and it won't raise any question. It usually takes about 2-4 weeks.are you from visa exempt country ?
issue with our application is, the principal applicant does not have a valid visa and will need to apply for one. this might raise a red flag to the visa office.
The agent I spoke to said that the online OWP application process could only be used after the AIP. However, if you are in status, you could mail the paper OWP application to Vegreville.I called again and two more agents told me the same things :/
Wow, yours was received Nov 11 and you' already approved?? So exciting, they are making progress with November apps finallyAfter I submitted OWP to Vegreville, they received my OWP application on Nov 11th. FINALLY approved as today.
Yeah, but 2 agents told me that if you send it to vegreville it doesn't matter what status you have you need to wait for OWPThe agent I spoke to said that the online OWP application process could only be used after the AIP. Is this for paper or online applications? There have been people on this forum who resubmitted OWP apps due to insufficient fees and they have already received approval, within the 4 month time frame after it was received the second time...I called again and two more agents told me the same things :/

Strange that 3 different agents told you that info, as it can't be 100% true if others have received approval within 4 months after re-submitting... Either way, time will tell I guess! For paper application, you can't send online until you get AIP
Maybe they got AIP, or more likely the agents don't know what they're talking about hahaStrange that 3 different agents told you that info, as it can't be 100% true if others have received approval within 4 months after re-submitting... Either way, time will tell I guess!
You're right, they don't look through them with a fine-toothed comb like they should, and send some back to avoid having to guarantee the timeline to maintain their intake. Here's proof: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/spousal-sponsorship-delays-government-errors-1.4490907We did. My wife is chinese and China didn't start issuing birth certificates (national) until 1996 but our original application was returned because of lack of birth certificate even though their own documents and country file states that there are no official certificates before 1996. we resubmitted the same package with a letter stating why we didn't include a birth certificate. IMO I think it was originally rejected because the agent was trying to clear their desk as quickly as possible and that seemed like an easy excuse.
Bear in mind that beginning in 2017 the government promised to process applications within 12 months. From what I understand, they didn't hire additional case workers, and they are the same people that used to take 18-24 months to do the same job that they now have to do in 12 months. I don't believe that they are working any faster or more efficiently but are clearing files off their desk by rejecting as many applications as they can. My advise is to make your application as complete as possible and if there are any gaps, include a letter explaining why.
Did you submit your Police certificates & schedule A forms with the application? Have you linked your application online? Because I think every one needs to submit the schedule A formGuys I received AOR on 31 but still no police request or background declaration . Is it normal .
