Hello:

I want to sponsor my mother AND her husband (not my father). Is it possible or just my mother and then she has to sponsor him?
you can sponsor him with mom

Me and my wife have joined sponsor for my parents (my mother and my father). I got the cap of 2017. Recieved the AOR and found out that i have mistakenly overlooked the income requirements.
Our income was:
2014: 53,775
2015: 59,976
2016: 61,329

I dont know if they will still process my application because of that. Im good in 2015 and 2016 but not in 2014.
I hope they will approve the PR of my mother and i will apply for my father’s super visa since the 2014 is only good for 3 persons.

Your advise is much appreciated.
Thank you

If you dont meet the income in any of the years, both your mom and father will be refused. You'll likely have to wait until next year

Can i withdraw the application so i can refund my payment? That is $2000. What do u think is the best way to do?. We are now 3 in the family, my new born child this 2017 plus.
Sorry to be harsh, but that's a small price to pay for depriving someone else's parents of the spot. You should've checked before you filled the lottery form. If your application is in process, they may not refund the entire fee back to you.

Yeah another case why I think this whole lottery system is balderdash.

People should jolly well make sure they qualify before they apply. If you don't qualify and you take up someone else's spot in the lottery you should be FINED for false declaration!

Halfwits!

You are far from meeting the requirement for any of the years.

5 persons
2014: $64,791
2015: $65,377
2016: $66,654

Your application will be processed (since you got the AOR already) and refused. You can try to withdraw and see if you can get back any of the application fee.

I wonder how many of these halfwits won the lottery and applied. There must be punitive action taken against them.

He actually submitted his full application, so would have done so with or without the lottery to take a spot in the cap. Lottery system has nothing to do with people not understanding the rules on the application package they are filling in.

The way the current lottery system is setup, there is virtually no barrier to anyone taking part in the lottery. I would suggest that CIC change the system such that everyone has to submit the full application with the fee. If you are picked good. If you are not, you forfeit your application fee. Try again next year.

Basically have the price of a lottery ticket the application fee.

This is exactly what the person above did. Yet he still didn't meet LICO when he applied.

As I said, the lottery had nothing to do with it.

As I said, the lottery system is not the best way for the program. Some people want to bring their parents over more than others. Some want to bring their parents over earlier than later. Some want to bring their parents over later but just take part in the lottery anyway.

Leaving all this to chance isn't the way to go. You are going to get more halfhearted entries and applications.

At least the good job this forum is doing is to educate people that they should only apply when they meet LICO / MNI.
Many of us have been waiting for 3 or 4 years to meet the lottery requirements. So patience is part of game.

Did anyone got confirmatory email for their submission of interest yet ?
Thanks
don't wait it till Apr/May ;)
Jan - accept applications
Febr + Mar - delete duplicates

Can tell you that 2017 started sending full package just in May :)

If anyone from IRCC reads this forum (which I doubt) here are the enhancements that I think it could help: Ask the person who submit the form permission to check his/her CRA income as per required. If his/her income does not meet, immediately remove his/her submission from the pool. After this, ban this person from submitting the form the next year.
