I don't know what going on.Hi there..i am in the same boat,.app received on nov 24..still waiting for AOR..wait is getting really frustrating especially dec applicants have started to receive AORs..i hope someone has explanation about the delay
Updated assuming you meant 2018In procces ecas January 6 2008.
I hope thats not the issue.. by the way who signed as receiver when canadapost delivered your application??I am now thinking they might have misplaced our applications or they never received them. only 15% of the oct applicants have got test invites....so it is gonna be a while would be my guess..Looks like Nov applicants are gonna wait more for just one applicant has gotten test invitation and that was an (urgent process) case and that up to the spreadsheet.
Does the PR card renewal process delay my citizenship application in any way?Processing times for PR cards vary depending on volume of apps and is available on the CIC website. I checked recently, it was 88 days IIRC.
I would renew if I was you.
I am thinking to do the same. But I heard that if I apply for the PR card renewal will delay or put my citizenship process on hold. I hope that’s not correctApparently, it takes 3 months and costs $50. I just submitted mine this past week just in case.
I do not think the PR card renewal and Citizenship applications are connected. So there should not be any delay.Does the PR card renewal process delay my citizenship application in any way?
Yes it goes in process when your file is transferred to your local office!I can retrieve my application on ECAS now, and it says
There should be an extra line that says they're processing my application, so it's not in process yet, right?
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 30, 2017.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 19, 2018.
That's what I figured, too. Thanks for letting me know!Yes it goes in process when your file is transferred to your local office!
