Yes, you are right. They literally use white out on the notes for the security review sections. Last set of notes in the paper file section, they whited out the location (you could tell as the next line was partially whited out too). As my application is more towards the final stages and they continue to do security checks (for the last 5 months or more), I realize that they might still have to white out stuff if they are still doing their checks ... I sure hope not, because my partner's background check was started in February ... coming up to 11 months ... don't know why ... he only ever lived in 2 countries (Chile and Canada) and has no criminal record and we already submitted all his PCC's long ago. C'est la vie!

I'll keep pestering them in case it might end up getting us our notes sooner rather than later. The email we get is an automated reply or else we got no response with some of our past notes.

Hoping that these security checks come to an end for all of us soon. Maybe it's taking long time cause we went to 6 different countries in Western Europe one year, but only for a month ... how much damage do they think my partner could have caused there? Otherwise can't figure out why else it would take so long other than that they are not looking at his file, more likely this.

Nope, today is day 32. I sent another email this morning and got an automated reply again saying they are receiving more than usual number of requests and because of this are not able to comply with completing requests in the stated timeframe. In September when my notes came late, (36 days), I sent them an email on day 32 I believe. I didn't get any response. I was all set to file a complaint, but then the notes came. Hoping they will come by the end of this week. It is driving me insane not knowing if they added a reason why they want to interview us and whether the are done any part of our reviews. This is the info I really need before I email the VO when our 12 month mark is reached on Jan 25, so I can complain constructively.

But what is strange info sharing info was ready to be assessed and valid until feb 2017 which they not process before it expired it was the general reason as no enough ties to home country and can apply again anytime so is not big deal so for those both results info sharing and security were ready since long also what I find strange they extended my medical and sent pre arrival but did not touch file after that. I read they can not extend medical if other things pending only they can if medical expiry near to fix visa date . Last reply was telling me pending background results not security clearance cic reply me that application looks in order .

This has not been the case for us. They extended our medical
Results last May for another year before they even started our eligibility check. Some people said to me it was a good sign and that we should not have a long processing timeline. It is now almost 8 months later and still being processed and supposedly we need an interview.

I got the gcm notes today. (NDVO) April 4 applicant, bgc not started yet. As per the notes, eligibility: passed. security, criminality: not started.
Last update on my file was on october last week, says marriage approved, file transferred for final review. This application is part of PAT 3 group. Special instructions apply to this application.

What does this mean?

Also, Notes also says: Recommended for waiver File No: F000XXXXXX FOSS checked for PA. F000XXXXXX is not our file number.

What does this mean?
