I have applied for my study visa on 15 th of December '17. And my term begins on 4 the January'18 . I have referred everything about this to my college authorities also. How much time will it take for my visa approval. Any idea?and has anyone received their visas yet?

Yes I did. Roughly 5 weeks is mentioned. Can u tell me.. are there any chances that my visa gets an approval even if my term date starts around first week of January??
Realistically speaking and considering the holidays, it is unlikely your study permit will be issued before the school term starts. In hindsight, you should have applied much earlier
I know. But due to delay in collection of some financial documents... Gradually became late to submit docs.

I applied my visa on 15 dec and term start date is 8-jan
But my consultancy is telling me that we can contact university to send us a letter stating about late entry
But i am not sure is it safe to do? It might be a problem at Canadian airport
What do you guys think?
Should i wait for next term or get late entry?

@Danielmendy I have deferred my term for May 2018. It's safe as per I know. I have already contacted my university regarding my visa
