october 2017 citizenship applicants

@cheh2105, did you get a test invitation for Jan 12 ? Could you please confirm when it was received ? Someone updated the sheet with this info in the wrong column. Thanks
People can request an urgent processing of their citizenship application if they have a good reason, like a job requiring the canadian citizenship...
But many post October 11 applicants (including both of us ^^) currently have a fast time-line, with a test scheduled 3 months after the app was sent, which is what un urgent processed application may look like.
Filed a webform on Friday, I just checked my ecas and it states : We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 23, 2017. However I have not received the email yet... good luck !
Not sure if anyone is still adding to that spreadsheet but my application arrived on October 25th and I still haven't heard anything. Hoping I'm not alone in this long delay.

Hi everyone, my application was sent on October 17th, received on 23rd. I just checked my ECAS ( which is part of my daily routine) and it shows " We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 23, 2017." It's a big relief... however I have not received an email yet. Any thoughts or similar cases ? Thank you !
Received an email from CIC this morning and was jumping up and down thinking it *finally* was my AOR. But after reading it twice I realized it was only a reply to my Web inquiry I sent last week. It only said
We verified the information you provided and have forwarded it to the responsible office.
They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application.
So back to square one - no AOR and still no information on my application :-( My ECAS is still not active. It's hard to keep the spirits up when seeing people who are already receiving test invites two weeks from now and feeling so far behind. Hopeful that things will catch up real quick for all of us left in the backlog!

HAH!! I JUST received my AOR!!! Six hours after I received the reply to my Web form. Finally!!! I have a feeling my web form inquiry kinda pushed things a bit. Either way, glad I can finally stop stressing about my application - it's in motion
I can also access my ECAS whereas I couldn't this morning. Could someone update the tracker?

We sent you a notice on December 28, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on January 18, 2018 at 1:45 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
Just a note about my application: I landed as PR and spent 183 days in my home country pre-PR. I did not include a police certificate in my application. Not sure if they'll request the PCC after this.
