Hi khialeesi! most of what i read, after your 6 months treatment for tb, you need to undergo sputum test which will take two months for the sputum culture result. the clinic suppose to give you the next steps or the pulmonologist that prescribing you medication.then if the result came up negative, the clinic will give you vaccination shot. why dont you try to call cic.i think their system are sometimes having an error, like what happen to us. my husband was the only one who received medical request. we emailed cic and told us that both of us need to take medical examination. good thing my husband checked his mycic account and saw that i already have UCI number and we gave that to the clinic that undergone my medical examination. they based from my uci if i already have a medical request. after i finished my 3days sputum test, cic emailed to my husband a medical request form without details like name or IME number. its very confusing sometimes. email or call their call centre.
Hi confusewifey, thank you very much for your reply! I am already done with my medication 2 months ago but never received any email so I called the clinic last week to ask what my medical status is and they saw from their system that I still need a follow-up check up and additional labs from them. I don't know who to blame for not informing me ahead, is it the embassy or should it be the clinic's job to inform me about my these additional labs? *sigh* forget about the blaming game. I went to the clinic yesterday and submitted my previous sputum results from outside facilities and they allowed me to have a repeat xray. I am hoping that they will no longer require me a sputum test because my school will already start on feb 1st. I don't think the result would be released before that time. I feel really upset right now
