OMG I just got DM !!!

My BG check changed to In process like yesterday or a bit before i think.
And this morning I got a mail from CIC to tell me I have a new message in my account.
I went to check and they talk about free services to settle down in Canada. So I went to checked in eCAS and it says Decision Made.

Is it mostly a positive answer?!

Oh my gosh!!! Congratulations!
Yes, you can be certain it is positive if you have not been called for an interview or received a procedural fairness letter (asking for more proof to support your application).
Wow, you are August 8th?? That is absolutely amazing. I'm going to be checking my ECAS like crazy now!

Yes I think as long as Missassagua starts background check, dm usually will come vey fast!! so happy for you! I got my dm 1 day after background check starts, too! it will be the biggest Christmas gift !!

January 30th Outland applicant. My husband is a USA citizen, and there’s been no movement whatsoever on his file since May when we submitted his Schedule A documents. We can’t link his application online, so we have to call CIC for updates. Two weeks ago we called, and there’s been no new entries since May. Looks like nothing has been done. And we were told it was a straightforward file. We are pretty bummed out right now because it’s doubful he’s going to get his PR by the 12 month mark.

January 30th Outland applicant. My husband is a USA citizen, and there’s been no movement whatsoever on his file since May when we submitted his Schedule A documents. We can’t link his application online, so we have to call CIC for updates. Two weeks ago we called, and there’s been no new entries since May. Looks like nothing has been done. And we were told it was a straightforward file. We are pretty bummed out right now because it’s doubful he’s going to get his PR by the 12 month mark.

I'm sorry to hear that . Have you ordered your GCMS notes? Have you contacted your MP to see if they can assist you?

Wow then I hope the PR status will come quickly after! Yes my application was received on the 8th of August, it's been crazy quick even tho we had a few red flags maybe...? Anyways Im happy as things seemed to go in a wrong way at first as i got AOR1 later than everyone

If your app was kept in Mississauga, it's doubtful you had any red flags (according to them anyway). They keep straightforward applications to process there. We also had a rocky start, they had to call us for some additional info and we got AOR later than most (I applied August 2nd but folks from August 10th were receiving AOR by the time I got mine!)

Recently people have been getting their passport request just a day or two after DM so you should not be far away from PR at all now

Seems like we are going right at the same pace now We also got pre-arrival email today.

Congrats on the pre-arrival letter! You’re getting to it! It seems like we have a very similar application and timeline then. They also had to call us before AOR1 to confirm our adresses. Hopefully we’ll be PR soon but this is already great news for the holidays.

Do you know who receives the PPR? Is it sent as a message in the GCkey account? Or sent directly by email? In that case is it sent to the sponsor or to the applicant?

I contacted my MP yesterday, and they will send something after January 30th if the PR isn’t completed.

We’ve been told a few different things every time we’ve called CIC. The SA letter indicated that our file would be processed in Ottawa. Then we were verbally told that Mississauga would handle it. Then another CIC agent said that it would be sent to the USA before being finalized. So I really don’t know what’s going on, and CIC can’t say anything else because there’s no updates on their system.

I haven’t ordered notes. I’m not sure how to proceed with that, and if it would provide additional info considering there’s nothing new on the CIC system.

I’m really happy for the applicants that are getting their PR. I just feel like I’m one of the very few that hasn’t had any movement on their file. And ours is very straightforward and CIC has all the documentation they need.

You should order your notes. Even if you feel there has been no entries recently you will be able to see the officers notes. Takes 30 days
