I wish I knew. I have seen some December 2016 and January 2017 applicants still waiting. I hope you and everyone waiting gets good news soon.

It’s not raining. I couldn’t be more envious. Don’t get bothered by a simple statement about wondering why people from July are getting approved when people from January through March are still waiting.

All comes down to luck and chance, I think. There is no rhyme or reason to how IRCC processes the applications (it was the same when I immigrated to the USA--my application with USCIS took months longer than the normal processing time, for really no reason at all. I guess this means we get a break this time around, eh?) I can imagine the frustration, because I have been in similar shoes. Christmas is still a week away... there's still time. Congratulations! August 2017 applicant here. i've been patiently waiting. but, it's just 2 weeks to go before December ends, guess the officers are on holiday lol.

July 2017 applicant here. Logged on to Gkey this morning, saw "We are processing your background check." Ecas says "Decision Made" and added the second line "We started processing your application on December 18, 2017."

Woot! Hope everyone waiting gets some movement soon!

Yeah, I'm curious to see if they actually start answering some questions after 12 months, if it comes to that which I'm pretty certain it will at this point. Only 3 weeks until the 12 month mark...and no update at all for 10 months.
