What does LVO check in eligibility for spouse sponsorship?

In spousal sponsorship eligibility, visa officer checks for the genuiness of the relationship.

Now from 2017 they will conclude all the cases with in 12 months of timeframe, whether they want to check genuinity of relationship or background check or conducting interview. I think the Visa officer come 4 times to conduct four sessions of interviews to Pakistan.
They only case which is excluded from 12 months timeframe is when someone has criminal background, has some kind of immigration violation in any country, or anything which cannot be verified through straight channels.
otherwise all cases has to be finalize in 12 months time period.
previous years 2014 and 2015 applicants are still hanging for their decision while we can see alot of decision of 2017 already done.

Files remain in queue to be reviewed by the visa officer for the initial 5-6 months due to the backlog. It takes them only days to decide your application if it is complete. Or, applicants recieve additional documents request/ medical request whatever is needed. In some cases, files are put in interview queue if the documents are not sufficient to satisfy the officer. Every case is different and so is visa officer.

Intehai laanti log hain. Itna wait kerwa rahy hain 2015 or 2016 waly applicants ko. At least tell us what they are digging into... humein b toh pata ho humari file k saath ho kya raha. If they have concerns let us know!! Why are they not doing any movement? Itni khamooshi q

2015 applicants are stuck in background checks. 2016 applicants are mostly those in interview queue or background checks taking long.

Before 2017 the immigration process was way too lengthy , 2 to 3 years at least. The policy of 12 month process time change for 2017 onward cases.

The reason the previous years cases are still pending is because they are not falling in this new category.
They are keeping them in same time frame of 2 years or more. That is the reason 2017 applicants are receiving the PR and 2014 and 15 are still stuck.

I dont know why they dont understand that families living apart from each other for such long creates problems in between.
There are psychological stress problem and other relationship problem seen when couple living away.
One post i saw in some forum where a woman complaint about her depression rising and she started taking medicine for it bcos of cic slow process and her husband was stuck in some other country.

then divorces happen .. and they question why the divorce took place .. well .. because of you taking sooo long to process a file that the couple would get mad at each other .. duhhhhh .. i see that may applicants are getting visas .. i am May as well .. and not a single change in our statues on gckey or ecas .. :'(

Its true ...relationships stuggle and at times loose their core value.
I hve been waiting for a long time and now hve a baby too who is premature.
Upon mt Mp contacting ircc to help us while he was in the nicu....ircc officer said it didnt matter if the child was on deathbed to expedite or arrange a temporary visit.
Its pathetic to see them keep families apart like this.
I have so much pressure....my in-laws have driven my husband and i insane over this prolonged wait.
They want him to divorce me and remarry.
Imagine telling that to a visa officer.
I just pray to Allah s.w.t ti make it easier for us all.ameen
