Hi everyone,

I sent out my application from Ottawa to Sydney on October 13th but still have not received any acknowledgement. Should I be worried??? I don't want to send a second package just to confuse them....

Thanks, Ipc19800! This made me feel better. I guess there is no need to panic (just yet). I also reached out to my MP's constituency office and they are looking into my case. So hopefully there's some good news from there...

AOR is always sent via email, if you provided one on the form ... followed by ECAS update within 12-48 hours. If you didn't provide your email, then it's sent by regular mail.

Thanks for your reply! I keep checking my email inbox and spam folders. My package was delivered on Oct 16th by courier. No news yet but still trying to stay hopeful!

Oct 18, I am also waiting.

I called CIC yesterday, the Call center agent first told me to reapply then putting me on hold for another 10 mins and afterwards told me that since they are processing october 23 applicants now which isn't too far from October 18, which means your application might still be waiting in some queue, so don't reapply yet and call back after a few weeks.

As mentioned previously by several other members, there is absolutely no point in calling them before receiving AOR. The call center agents have no information till your file is entered into the system. These agents are not well trained and excel at providing misleading information. You can test it by calling them multiple times and asking the same question. You'll get a different response each time.
