Goodday house
Please l want hear from peoples experience ,
l am applying for PR with my spouse and children, but because my IELTS result was 6 on the band and my wife's own was 7.5,l wanted her to be the principal applicant.
In terms of education ,we two have the same category of profession(professionals), the whole money involved in processing the PR right from the express entry application stage, till the last stage of ITA , will be provided by me. My questions are as below:
1.Is there any limitation on the accompanying spouse of a principal applicant while staying in canada.
2. In a case of your wife divorcing you tommorrow can it affect your PR status since l made her the principal applicant.
Please don't get me wrong with the questions asked above, l know my reasons.
Thanks in anticipation of your sincere replies.

I'm not sure if I understand your context or your questions clearly, but I'll try my best to answer:
1) There is no limitation, per se, on accompanying spouses, except that they have to land alongside or after the principal applicant; they can't land before. Once the accompanying dependents land and 'claim their permanent resident statuses' then they're just Permanent Residents - they're not 'accompanying' or 'dependents' anymore
2) If your wife divorces you during the processing of your permanent residency application, there could be a problem. But if you land and claim your permanent residency, and she divorces you the next day, you won't be affected - you will still be a permanent resident (see answer 1)
