Trying to stay patient here but I can see everybody else getting their OWP after our received date and starting to get worried.

Our OWP application shows as received on Aug 11. Should I contact CIC?

Hi all,
I have a couple of questions.
1. I have police certificates from the 2 countries where I've stayed for more than 6 months since 18. I applied early since I knew they'd take a while. Would you suggest sending them in with my application or should I wait for the request for Police Certificates and schedule A forms? Also, should I submit a copy or the original? I'm just afraid they might somehow lose them if I send it in now and ask for them again and I'd end up waiting 3-4 months to get them again

2. I'm going to submit my OWP application with the PR package, will I be on implied status because I'm waiting for my OWP or do I need to apply for an extension on my visitor visa? It will expire about 4 months after I submit the application so I might not even need an extension but I'd rather be on the safe side.

Thank you for your help everyone, this forum is super helpful!

They received my OWP on July 31, and I called this morning.
The agent said it's not 4 months yet, so I have to keep waiting.

In this case, you just put the date when you are filling out the form. As you don't know what is gonna happen in future :p
I've tried doing that but it still flags as an error and I have no idea why....

It's still flagging the date for when I started living at an address.

I honestly cant figure out why. Everything is in chronological order and I've checked through it multiple times...

It flags under personal history and wants an end date. I tried putting in todays and it still wont accept it.
Under addresses it flgags 2016, which is the year I started living at current address.

Ive tried redoing the whole form and thats not worked either

I submitted my application in early January 2017. AOR in late January 2017. Police certificate and Sch A requested in February 2017. OWP approved in April 2017. Medical exam requested in late May 2017 and passed in early June 2017. And I heard nothing since June 2017.

Anyone in the same situation? I hope SA and AIP would be coming soon....
Me too

I had a similar issue when validating my Schedule A. I had taken up a part time job last year and included it, but the form didn't like it. Make sure all the dates flow well. That was my biggest issue, I removed it and I was able to validate.

Good news is I managed to fix the issue being flagged under addresses. It is still flagging under personal history though...
I've tried everything- Ive had my boyfriend check it as well and neither of us can find a problem with it... I'm really stuck here...

I'm wondering if it is due to me taking holiday while working?
I also went on holiday while on a workign holiday visa....

I'm also wondering if it doesnt like that things overlap? for example I went to college and worked at the same time...

CIC received my application on August 17th, and I just got OWP on Nov 25th. So I think you should call CIC to see if something wrong happened... Btw, did you pay 255 Cad for the application?

im a July 14 applicant and I haven't received mine yet, its frustrating for me seeing Aug applicants receiving theres. Ive made many calls to cic and they have no answers, they just say you have to wait, and don't give you any explanation on why it hasn't been approved by 4 months or to what the status is. The agents you speak to also have no direct contact with the visa offices of where its being processed from.

I did pay the $255 for sure so I don't see why. It took me a couple weeks to get the Sch A and PCC for the PR Application together. Would that have any affect on the OWP app?

If you are filling Schedule A, make sure no any gap.
Beside, if you took holiday even for 1 month but you still were working for a company, then you don't need to fill duration time of your holiday but you should cover it by working at that company.
E.g:
- Aug 2010 - Sept 2015: Working at ABC company.
-> Don't need to fill any gap for holiday, such as: Holiday from December 2011 - January 2012 (if this matter is what you were wondering)

Otherwise, if you quit a job and stayed at home to wait for the next job then yes, fill that duration time.

No worries, OWP is different from PR application. Even if someone fails OWP, it will not affect on their PR application.

ah so that might be the problem.
I worked at my job 2013-05 till 2015-12. I went on holiday to canada twice during that time . So i dont need to put those holidays down?

I also went to cuba during my time in canada (one working holiday visa) for a short break. Im assuming I dont need to put that either?

Hi there,

Please read this page with lots of comments about this issue:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/spousal-sponsorship-in-land-applications-2017-timeline-and-updates.468962/page-242#post-6525319

If you keep reading the next pages, you will see there was a guy who could not link his application after tried all the tips. After that, he reported a problem on the page and CIC service fixed it for him; I think they linked the application for him - I don't remember exactly. You can try this way too:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/results-by-topic.asp?top=3
(Roll down the page and you will see a button to report a problem on this page)

Best of luck guy!
