July applicant here, and I just received the Medical Request this morning. But my question is, on the IMM1017 form, it's showing my original country address, not the Canadian address. Is this matters. ???? Thanks

No, i don't receive the SA, and my application says "Your Action is Required" , too, and my background check is being processed since last Dec.

The temporary permit can only allow me to stay till end of August 2017, the visitor visa is 10 years.

They never tell you why, they just say different people could take different time, yours is still in process, we will send you the email, once it's updated. Please check your linked account.

From my experience, they received my OWP application at the end of July 2017, and they approved it on Jan 10, 2018. I called few times between Nov and Dec, and it took them more than 150 days to finish the work. But finally, it's here.

Same here. My wife and I want to go to US for a short vacation. Don't know if the custom going to let us to re-entry Canada.

Call it at the very early morning. That's what I did. About 8-9 am Ontario time. Wake up, dial the number, and then wait and have breakfast. Usually it will take about half hour. Good luck !

Came to Canada with the 10 years visitor visa, and when arrived the custom officer give me a paper says I can only stay until the end of August of 2017.

Yes, the waiting time is killing me.

OWP is approved. Called CIC this morning, the agent said it's approved, and it's just waiting for the paper printing. They received my application on July 24th, and it has been 5 months. Finally have something. I guess the OWP is discontinued is not true then.

What is this mean?
