Mainly it was people at my husbands bank branch. Ugh! When he was setting up his bank account a few years ago we asked if we could set it up as a joint account and the lady helping us said no, you have to be PR. So much for that! Now that we are submitting our application by the end of the month it wont make a difference since it wont be done on time, but at least we have lots of other proof..

Open one now. If CIC ask for more proof in 6 months time you will have the bank account/statement and 6 months of transaction/history.

under this requirement, can I show my marriage certificate as we recently got married 1 month ago and we don't have insurance or employment benefits ?

you have to show joint bank accounts,credit card,apartment lease,car insurance,ultlities bills ,cell phone bills and etc

Definitely will do. I'm currently on my husbands credit card with a supplementary card and so I'm showing up on the statements but it would be nice to be able to use a debit card and not just the credit card. Thanks
