We almost had the same timeline. But my husband was done with the medical. Try to call CIC regarding the medical request because in our case they said they send it already 4th of October but we can find it on the Gckey Account and same as yours it was stated there "reviewing medical result" so I phoned them again and again and they said there was a technical issue and I need to send report to the IRCC webform. After 8 days, we finally got the medical request on the gckey account. Hope this helps.

yeah mine is stated there "reviewing medical result" too. So i guess i should call them tomorrow, lets see what happens.

yeah.. so i called them today and they told me they send PA medical request on October 4 but my husband didn't received it yet and they send it again which might take up to 5 business days... so my question is do i have to have the letter to do the medical exam or just go ahead and do it not wait for the letter??

Yes, you need to wait for the medical request because as far as I know they will not accept Upfront medical anymore.

AOR on October 13 2017
started processing your application on October 12, 2017
Sponsorship DM- October 21, 2017
Medicals and Schedule A requested on October 20 2017
Medicals received October 24 2017

What's the next step after this? I would also like to pick on your brain about our case. He is in Canada with me as a visitor and we would like to extend his visit until he gets a response. We're thinking another year (to Dec 2018) do you think this is something they would approve? and how him being here (though we applied outland) would affect the next steps in this process? Does he have to get out of the country and backed once *fingerscrossed* approved?

My husband is here on a VV as well. We extended his VV for 6 months in june to March 1 which will bringus to 1 year since submitting the app (hoping to be approved by then). It should be done before his VV expires. I think a year is a long time -- not sure if it would be approved. You will want to show that you have more then enough money to support yourselves as he is not allowed to work. He doesnt have to leave once approved. They will send a Visitor Record.

I would not stress about this. There's nothing you can do. There is a chance there will return it as the forms are not filled to completion. There's a chance they may not. You just need to wait it out.

We were requested to provide additional documents in spousal sponsorship application some of which are due for Nov 22, 2017. We submitted them on Nov 16 2017 using Web form because our online application didn't provide any provision to upload from there (may be a technical issue, I called the CIC helpline and informed the agent about it and she suggested to submit using any of the other two remaining ways - by mail or using web form).

My question here is that the online application as of Nov 21, 2017 is still saying "We need more documents to continue processing your application" and the due date is tomorrow Nov 22, 2017, should we be worried? How much time does it take for the documents to come in notice and get uploaded to the online application?

I would appreciate if someone could share their experience.

Hi Uzair, it normally takes 10 business days for IRCC to acknowledge that they receive the documents. It may take a bit longer if they have backlog. You dont need to worry if your due date is tomorrow as you have submitted the application via webform on November 16. If you dont receive any acknowledgement after 10 working days, then you can call IRCC for confirmation.

Thanks, is it possible to submit a 2nd extension then? Just thinking as we would have a year on August 31st and if we extend for another 6 months, we would only get to July.

Another add to my timeline. We just were informed he passed his medicals!

i would wait until closer to the day... in my opinion... my husbands expired june 25 we applied june 8... just wait and see do one extension for now and see how this process goes!! good luck
