As the other poster said, I am sure it will be fine if you just write it in yourself, save on the gas!

Perhaps don't be too harsh on them, they probably only ever do passport photos and rarely if ever see a PR photo!

If it was just missing my name name and DOB I would just write that in. It's more the guarantor section that makes me nervous.

Also I'm now thinking that maybe the photo spec is wrong if they did it thinking it was to be a passport photo. Maybe it's the same spec for a passport I don't know but anyways.. Better safe than sorry!

For what it's worth, I had my photos done at Costco and they were accepted with no issue. Mine were both stamped on the back. At least one must be stamped, they're not going to send it back if both are stamped. Mine also had the guarantor thing. It's just part of their stamp. I would imagine they don't have a separate stamp for PR photos.

I haven't compared the passport vs PR photo specs in detail, but on a superficial glance the actual photo specs looked identical - its just the stuff on the back that is different. If you did a simple google you could compare yourself. I wouldn't worry about the extra wording about Guarantor, if what they have done has the information the PR Card asks for that should be enough. I would be pretty sure the CIC PR guys see those stamps all the time.

I think you might be worrying too much!

You can also use a ruler to make sure your photos meet the spec. I did that with mine before I sent them in.

We used Shoppers, told them was for PR (which they knew all about) , same thing with stamp saying guarantor etc (though they correctly stamped just 1), must be a standard stamp. Main thing is the date taken and name of studio so proves is recent . We wrote the name and dob ourselves.

No problem getting AOR, don't worry!

Dear all i am facing the same situation now and it is stamped in both photos with Guarantor signature. When i asked they say all they have is only this stamp. Should i retake them again - can someone please advise

There is no gaurantor when I submitted in June 2020. Just hand wrote the info and got aor, now almost done.
