Hi Expert,

I have a question about the CSR. I have work experience here in Canada from Dec 2012 to Feb 2015. I am not qualified for the Canadian Experience Class as I do not have at least one year of experience in the last 3 years. However, it seems that I do get some scores for my experience even I am fell under the Federal Skill Worker class. Is that correct? Can any one please advise how can this happen?

427 is not a bad score. I think you will get an ITA by February. Could be sooner, you never know.

Hi Friends,

My Score is 465. Now i am planning to upload profile in the database. But i have couple of questions:
1. Right now i have CAD 8000 in my account. I can arrange the rest of the money. So my question is if i get ITA, then i would have to submit the last 6 months of bank statements. I have deposited this CAD 8000 just three months back. So can CIC question that ? Or i should wait for another 3 months before applying ?
2. From Feb to July 2017 I was in USA. Do i need to get NOC from USA as well ?

Is there a limit on number of times you can attempt IELTS. I was told during visa interview they check number of attempts and can reject if it's too many.

1. I wouldn't recommend waiting if you have a qualifying CRS Score now. You never know what the average Draw CRS Cut-off could change to in the coming months. You can deposit the remaining amount and just provide documentation to show that it's a legitimate deposit and the money is yours free, clear and unencumbered, to use for settlement purposes (e.g. if you're getting money from a family member, get a Gift Deed to show that the money is yours and you won't have to pay it back).

2. Did you mean NOC or PCC? I assume the latter because I'm not sure what an 'NOC from USA' would be and why you would need it. You didn't provide proper dates, but one can assume that your February to July 2017 stay covered 6 months (unless you arrived at the very end of February and left at the very beginning of July), so yes, you will need to provide a PCC from the FBI.

• Also has a bachelor degree in Engineering (3 years length).

I have done my ECA and report states that i have a bachelor degree and a secondary school diploma (two years)
. So what shall i select in CIC website ? Bachelor degree or Two or more certificates diploma or degree option. If i choose the first option then my score is 432 and if i choose the second option then my score is 465. S anyone can share their views ??????

....did they say 'secondary school diploma' or POST-Secondary diploma? Because if it's the former, I don't think you can claim any points for it. You would have to go with 'Bachelor's Degree', I think. The 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees...' option refers to POST-secondary credentials. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

I haven't seen it anywhere specifically, but it's a logical assumption...if secondary diploma (high school graduation) could count as a Diploma for purposes of "Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees", then the vast majority of persons who have a Bachelor's Degree would be able to claim this education level and the 'Bachelor's Degree' level wouldn't be necessary - most persons who have a Bachelor's Degree will have a secondary diploma as well... This is further underscored by the fact that IRCC doesn't require proof of secondary studies, unless this is your highest attained education level. You only have to upload proof of education level after secondary diplomas, if you've attained a level higher than secondary diplomas (because the assumption is that you would not have progressed to these higher levels if you didn't already have the secondary diploma).

The assumption, therefore, is that the 'Diploma' in the 5th education level (see below), based on a logical progression, can be assumed to be similar to 'Diploma' as outlined in the 3rd and 4rd education levels (the ones that come AFTER 'Secondary diploma (high school graduation)') - "One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute" and "Two-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute"

Level 1 - Less than secondary school (high school)
Level 2 - Secondary diploma (high school graduation)
Level 3 - One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute

So tell me one thing, i havent filled the profile in the data base, but when i do this and enter my qualification and enter 'secondary diploma" then i believe system will award me a score and that score would be final. right ? I believe so - as long as you indicate the levels as specifically outlined by the ECA report, the system should automatically calculate the correct score for you...

So, you stated that your ECA Report stated "Secondary School Diploma and diploma 2 years". (Is this for both credentials or just one?). If it's for both, you would list 'Secondary diploma (high school graduation)' for one credential, and 'Two-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute' for the other.

There has been some debate about how to represent the information in your EE Profile if your assessment is actually 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees....' - the question being whether to put the actual assessment for EACH credential, or whether to list 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees...' for the second credential, because some people have reported that the system calculated Education Level 5, rather than Education Level 6, when they entered, say, 'Bachelor's Degree...' for one, and 'Two-year program..." for the second. But this particular issue is only relevant if the ECA report has provided an assessment of 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years'

Final question though - did you assess your 2 credentials TOGETHER, or separately? If you did it TOGETHER and received one report for both, and your ECA Report summary DIDN'T state 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years', then you can be reasonably certain that you are, unfortunately , not eligible for 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees...'

If you assessed them separately though, and have the money and time to spend, you might want to consider having them evaluated together...I think it sometimes provides a different final result, when the credentials are assessed together...

Hi evaluated both my credentials together and received one report. On the summery it is written that i have equivalent to bachelor degree in Cananda. On the report, i have two assessments. 1st assessment says i have secondary school diploma 2 years. 2nd
assessment says i have a bachelor degree 4 years.

I believe ECA summery only points out to the highest qualification one has acquired.

I have entered my details in the CIC but have not submitted the profile because i have not received the IELTS score card officially.
While entering my information under study and languages, i have entered two rows. For bachelor degree i have mentioned the duration of 3 years and selected bachelor degree under Level of Education option and for my diploma, i have selected the option secondary diploma.

The ECA Summary is dependent on the organization's overall assessment, when considering both credentials together. I believe I saw on this forum where someone had a Bachelor's assessed as a 1 or 2-year Diploma, and a Master's assessed as a 3-year Bachelor's, and the overall summary was a 4-year Bachelor's.

But if your ECA Summary says Bachelor's Degree, you should be good to go. Just list the 1st credential as equivalent to secondary school diploma, and your 2nd credential as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree, and your Express Entry profile, barring any glitches, should calculate your points correctly.
